“The work of the dedicated volunteers and staff does change lives at this place. What an amazing resource for parents who are challenged at times because of work and child care commitments.”
“I love this store! They had to move because of construction at their old location, but I think this new location on Winnebago is even better. They have the best fair trade items! I’ve purchased candy, soaps, cat toys, cards, coffee, tea, and snacks as gifts and for myself. I love their jewelry so much, I can barely leave the store without buying something. They also have beautiful clothing, purses, candles, dog toys, and more. I’ve bought so many Christmas gifts there! Seriously, check it out.”
“Great place to donate baby gear, since goodwill and st vinnies don't accept anymore. Donation accepted in back of strip mall, the front parking lot was quite busy last Tuesday night with folks making pickups of equipment. You get donation receipt for taxes if you like.”
“Dave and his team at the Goodman Community Center are phenomenal. Our staff at Complete Weddings + Events rave about working events with their team. Rooted in community, they have a TEENworks program, which is an employment and leadership program for youth ages 14 to 18, where students learn a variety of job skills, earn industry certifications like ServSafe, explore career paths, and gain hands-on work experience. Thank you for what you provide our local community! We can't wait to be out here again working our next event together.”
“I'm so impressed by the food pantry and employees here. I've used it a couple times, and they are organized and friendly. They have options for pre-made meals, pantry items and fresh produce. It's a great resource for the community when people are struggling.”
“I became a foster mom to a 13 year old girl October 7th. The support I receive from CCR is invaluable! It has been a little over two months and I have watched this young lady go from being super untrusting to trusting me with personal stories and her feelings. Even with the challenges this has already been so rewarding. Contact CCR to begin the licensing process to become a foster parent or you can become respite certified and take foster children for a weekend here and there to give everyone a break.”
“Absolutely incredible. They put my wife and I up in a hotel while my daughter was in the NICU and it was the best example of good people helping others in their time of need that I have ever experienced.”
“100state is my favorite Madison coworking space! I've been a member since 2017. The community is strong, the space is serene and full of lively art, and the location right on the Capitol square is awesome. It also has super convenient secure indoor bike parking.”
“We held our wedding at ALNC in September and absolutely loved the experience! The natural beauty of the nature center makes for a wonderful backdrop for the ceremony, and we loved having access to the trails for photos. The staff of ALNC went above and beyond on the lead up to and day of the wedding. The other thing we loved about ALNC was knowing that the proceeds of our wedding would be going to help promote education in our local community.”
“My cat got diagnosed with diabetes recently. They have been so helpful! Their communication is good. Them being a low cost clinic is also sooo helpful! They helped me find other cheaper options for his insulin. They sent me handouts of different types of safe foods for him, that were cheaper. They also had extra syringes that they were willing to donate.”

“The Verona Area Community Theatre is a gem in our community! Their productions are always top-notch, showcasing and introducing young people to the theatre. The intimate setting creates a warm atmosphere, making each performance feel special. The dedication of the cast and crew shines through, providing an unforgettable experience for all. Highly recommend!”
“The staff at this Red Cross facility have proven time after time to be efficient, thorough, and very personable. The building is easy to find and parking is abundant. My whole blood donation intake, time taken to donate blood, and 15 minutes of beverage/snack time to begin rebuilding fluids and calories typically takes 40 minutes, often less. This Red Cross center is my preferred donation location for all of those reasons.”
“I visited with my team to discuss how we can help fundraise/volunteer, and walking into that building was like being transported to another world! I realized I hadn’t seen a children’s book in 20 years and it was so euphoric to see how they’d evolved to be so inclusive and diverse in so many ways. It’s amazing to see an organization that intentionally curates a selection that will inspire children from all walks of life. I am astounded by the energy and passion from every member I met, and I look forward to helping the cause in any ways I can!”
“The clubhouse is kept clean and safe. There are 4 large meeting rooms. Plenty of parking spaces. Whole coffee beans are ground each day and coffee is delicious. Soda is also available.”
“Great experience!! I signed up for a build-a-bike class but when I showed up they didn’t have a frame ready to build that would suit my needs, but they did have a newly tuned up bike that WAS exactly what I was looking for and was a very reasonable $200 and it even came with a front basket already installed. I am very happy with my experience at Freewheel and will recommend to all my friends! The guy working was very helpful and friendly!”
“My recent experience with this store was a very good one. What made this experience so memorable was the interaction I had with Ms. Ellen. Ms. Ellen has a very calm personality which is an excellent skill given the chaos you’ll experience with the management team.In my experience, I felt like I was chasing after answers but no one knows what’s going on. Ms. Ellen on the other hand, looked at the situation, and calmly took control. Many thanks to her and other employees like this.”

“Awesome place, we brought our legally blind friend in due to his 15 yr old magnifying glass
had broke. Jaxon was so patient working with our friend and helped him get one he can see even better with, he can see numbers that he couldn't see before, what a WIN. Great customer service.”
“Staple of the willy street community offering diverse programming that supports community members in meaningful ways. Definitely recommend learning more about their work/space.”
“This is a nice thrift store with upscale furniture for resale. Otherwise, they also carry the typical thrift store type items at very good prices. This is one of my favorite places to shop!”
“My daughters have taken several art classes with Miss Lexie, all of which were amazing! She creates fun, engaging and creative activities.
We’ve also taken a few Music Together classes which have been wonderful. Specifically, I appreciate their no phone policy to both encourage parent/child connection and to minimize distractions for the entire class. It’s such a treat to be in a toddler activity without phones, which is a rare thing to experience!”
“It is a passionate, non profit organization working to help restore eyesight, eliminating curable blindness, advocating for organ donation, eye and tissue donation. There are volunteering opportunities here. Caring staff.”
“The staff are very nice. Prices are excellent. Vet care is so expensive. We all want to take the best care of our beloved pets. So nice to have this center as an option.”
“Kind and generous and fun people teaching others in a supportive atmosphere full of encouragement. Whether you want to finish High School as an adult or learn English as a second language, if you live in Dane county, this is the place to come.”
