“AMENDMENT: After my husband spoke with the owner, she stated she was ordering a new bad and gave us a refund for the night we had reserved but didn’t stay due to our customer cutting the trip short. I’m pleased with this and gave them 5stars for service!!

The only reason I gave this place four stars is because of the view. It is absolutely beautiful and the sunsets are stunning.

We originally reserved and paid for this room for four nights for a business | personal trip.

The trip was cut short 1 night. We made contact with the”person” via text being that there is no one on-site to contact. My husband let her know that the trip would be cut short by 1 night/day so we would be checking out on Thursday morning versus Friday morning and would like a refund for Friday. The contact person said to us “ I don’t know if I can do that. Everything’s done in the computer. I will have to check.”

DO WHAT?!? Every lodging company whether it’s a hotel motel suite Inn or Airbnb does business via computer, what do you mean you will have to check!!!! you don’t charge somebody for something that they didn’t use.

Moving on!!

Room B4. It’s cute and has just about everything you would need. The kitchen has a decent amount of provided dishes, standard appliances (4 burner stove w/oven, coffee maker, toaster and fridge/freezer. There was a table and 2 chairs as well. There is a window AC in the kitchen/dining area. There really could be another one in the first bedroom. We stayed in the room closest to the kitchen area to be closer to the AC as it was a toasted 80+ degrees in the room when we arrived.

The Bathroom!! I’ll start off with that it was clean!! Very clean matter of fact!! My only complaint is the commode (ie toilet) it is NOT standard height for an adult. It is most definitely what you would find in a child’s bathroom.

Alright now on to the beds! I have slept on a floor that was more comfortable!! now some may like an extremely firm bed however that is not me. three of the most horrible nights of sleep I’ve had in I can’t even remember. completely and utterly sore and I was miserable most of the time when it came to trying to get decent sleep.

This would not be my preference of place to stay, if I was to come back. I for sure will look at other accommodations. La Crosse is only about a 20ish minute drive, a bigger town by far and I’m sure better accommodations.”

“We stayed here 10/14/25. Room was great and very clean. This is the type of room likely used by hunters and fisherman, blue collar type place, which we love. If you're the type to want fancy high-end this isn't it... Clean yes, fancy no. Mid week, total was $85.00 after tax.
As with most accommodations on the river road there's a highway on one side and a train on the other, surprisingly the noise wasn't bad at all inside the room and we slept well. Again the room was old but very clean.
There's only one tavern/bar food in town and a mixed drink was $9.00!!!!! food and service was good there though... but $9,00 for a drink? in a tiny town? La Crosse is about 6 miles away for more options, and there is a Kwik Trip in walking distance for breakfast.
Yes, We'd absolutely stay here again. Matt (I believe to be the owner) was very nice and American born if that matters to anyone reading this. It appears he also runs a duck hunting guide service here as well.”

“Happy with our experience. It's a laid-back atmosphere, not high-end, but spacious, clean and reasonable rates. I enjoyed the fact that they had some kitchen utensils and an electric cooking unit in the room, which we made use of so as not to eat out at restaurants every day. They are right on the water, as the name implies, and would be good for sportsmen, but we actually stayed here to visit the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and it worked out great for us.”
