Ms. Keekers now has high BP along with her Thyroid issue (often times the two will develop together)which in cats can cause blindness ☹. She has bleeding in the back if her eyes and cannot currently see-hopefully getting her on meds will get things under control and she will regain her sight or at least some of it. I have to say that Doc Olson at Blue Pearl was very good to us- so glad there was somewhere to get her in rather than waiting.
On July 30:
Went for the first followup for Ms. Keekers today. Vet said I did a great job with getting her in and giving meds-she couldn’t see any evidence of any issues with her eyes and she has her vision back! Her BP is still on the high side of normal but, could have been due to stress of going to a new clinic. So she goes back in just over 2 weeks for a re check to see if it is still elevated and go from there.

I've been working with Dr. Klose since 2022 and credit him with saving my girl Posh's life. He's kind and patient, but most importantly he explains everything and offers options and rational for testing and choices. I especially appreciate his response to my many many worried emails. While needing specialty and/or emergency care for my fur babies would never be on my list of desired experiences, I'm glad there is a team here that I can trust.

Truly a must visit! Came to Mallards for the first time and I understand why they have such good reviews! One thing that I truly care about is the service, and Truman did such a great job of giving me the best recommendations, checking in on me, and making sure that I had the best time. Best items ordered:
- daily bread
- elote corn fritters
- hot chicken sandwich
- garlic green beans
All of the items were amazing, and I can’t wait to come back!

Kopp's Frozen Custard
5373 N Port Washington Rd, GlendaleI first went to Kopp's over 12 years ago, and I remembered it being the best custard I'd ever had. I went again in 2026 and was hesitant my nostalgia might have overplayed the memory of it. Luckily, it did not. Kopp's is and was the greatest custard I've ever had!
Great burgers and fries too, but the custard is the star. Always will be.
