“The Ivy House was the perfect venue for our dream wedding! Great getting ready space, ample parking, beautiful ceremony space, professional staff, great drinks, fabulous DJ and sound system, and the list goes on. We got so many compliments from our guests on the space and we loved that it didn’t need much decorating to make it the warm and cozy vibe we were after. They were super flexible with allowing us to drop things off earlier in the week and pick stuff back up after the wedding which was much appreciated. Bonus shoutout to the incredible DJ, Julian from airwaves, who really brought the party and matched our energy so well for the whole night. I want to get married again so we can hang out at the Ivy House all day again!”

“Absolutely amazing venue with amazing staff! We held a “smallish” wedding reception/party” at the Firehouse and it was just perfect! Amy, the venue coordinator, was simply the best. Her suggestions and vendor tips were spot on. I felt like we were in such good hands, all we had to do was show up and have fun!”

“Such a unique and beautiful wine spot. There is no bad wine offered there and the service is incredible. Tony and Rachel do an outstanding job making it the best experience every time. “The Pabst is a beautiful theater. The seating is tight. As of 3/26, they offer pre- paid parking in the parking structure adjacent to the Milwaukee Athletic Club. I would suggest that people park somewhere else. We found it a little difficult to get the door to open to enter, then impossible to re-enter after the show, despite punching in the numeric code provided on the Pabst website. Many patrons were in the same position. We had to run in when other cars drove out. It would also be easy to miss the fact that you are going to need a code to get back into the structure. It is mentioned on the Pabst website, but not when you purchase the pass nor on the pass.”

“The place to go for your must see events! The Staff are professional keeping a clean and secure environment. Bartenders make the best drinks. Caught Mama Tried Flat Out Friday and TSO there and look forward to many other events.”

“My wife and I absolutely loved having our wedding at The Pritzlaff and experienced the epitome of hospitality from all the staff, particularly Ali. The 333 venue is elegant, spacious, hosts a grand bar, includes a loft which we used for ceremony musicians, and a vault that we used for our audio guestbook. The space is grand, inviting, and open. Its location by downtown and the Historic Third Ward is perfect for guests, as well. Ali and Olivia were fantastic to work with every single step of the way and answered all questions in a timely manner with care and intentionality. Our wedding was gorgeous and well-organized in large part due to Ali and the clear communication we had with her throughout the planning process and actual day. We highly recommend The Pritzlaff for your wedding day! You should also plan to take photos on the roof!”

“We had our wedding there, and we couldn't have been happier. The price of a park building but the beauty of something much more expensive and the location by the lake - you can't beat it. You need to book SUPER far in advance though to get your event here. After I figured out I wanted our wedding to be here, I literally just accepted the first date they had open and it was more than a year and a half away. This place is a truly unique and lovely venue for a great price, it is hard to compete with it for a wedding or other special event for that size and price. Guests should be made aware ahead of time that parking WILL be challenging. It can be stressful if it is a surprise for them. There isn’t a parking lot, and many people live in this area and visit the park, so you’re parking amongst locals.

Separately, we go to the beer garden often to hang out and eat, and it is wonderful. I love that we can bring kiddos and dogs!”

I had no idea this was a Shriner lodge… or that Shriners are high order Free Masons… so I pretty much accidentally broke into a meeting of a high level secret society for a photo op - at least the sheriff thought my cluelessness was funny.”

“Nice walking area, quick and easy with a fishing dock. When you get to the lighthouse, you can turn around and go back the same way and circle in the peninsula. We went towards the parking lot thinking there would be some pathway but there isn’t really. Would be nicer to walk back into the water area where there is nature”

“I went to this venue to attend a wedding on the top floor. The view is excellent, and the place is pleasant, but there isn't enough parking—nor are there enough restrooms—to accommodate an event of the size I attended.”

“We had our wedding reception here last month and it was a phenomenal experience from start to finish. The location is close to downtown and has the perk of free parking for guests (a rare find for downtown wedding venues). John, the owner, was great to work with. He really cared about making sure our reception was everything we hoped for. Our guest count was near the max capacity and it held everyone comfortably. We had to purchase our alcohol for the wedding and he told us exactly how much and what kind to get which made the process incredibly easy.

In the weeks following the wedding, we received so many compliments on the venue itself. We are so glad we chose to have our reception here and would highly recommend it!”

“My husband and I got married on 9/20/25 at Birch and this was the perfect venue for us and our guests! The first time we walked into the venue I knew it was the one. We were looking for a more intimate space, and I loved all of the backlighting accompanied by the darker space. It felt cozy and was a great space for 82 people. I also loved the outdoor space and all of the greenery and flowers provided by the space was a big win for us as I did not want to buy any flowers. It is a simple space but looks great just on its own!

In the beginning of the planning process, we did get multiple different coordinators which was slightly concerning, but a little less than a year out we met Jaiden. Jaiden turned out to be the best thing for our wedding! It was clear right from the start how knowledgeable she was, and she did a great job communicating with all of our vendors. She also let us visit the venue whenever we wanted to which worked out once we started to practice setting up our decor to see how it would look in the space. On the day of our wedding, we unfortunately had rain that interfered with our plans to have an outdoor ceremony. Jaiden worked tirelessly to try and get us an outdoor ceremony, and we even postponed the ceremony by half an hour. During that time, she monitored the weather and opened the bar, so that guests wouldn't get too antsy while waiting. Last minute we had the ceremony inside, but immediately after we headed outside for pictures and the weather was clear the rest of the night!

The venue provides a His and Hers suites upstairs for getting ready and our wedding party loved this space! It gave us time before the wedding to hangout and relax before getting ready. I had two bridesmaids, so the space was more than enough for the three of us. However, the main getting-ready room for the girls was very dark, so I would suggest bringing more light sources or get ready in the front room space where there is plenty of natural light. I also found out at the end of the wedding night that many people did not understand how the bar worked as we had gone with a consumption tab, so people had been opening their own tabs. I did include this on our website (but we all know 90% of people do not refer to that), but I had also assumed that the bar staff would communicate to the guests how the consumption tab worked. Despite this, the bar staff were excellent, and they had such great attitudes, and we felt like they were part of the fun!

Overall, Birch was an amazing venue and if I had to do it over again, I would pick Birch and Jaiden haha! Although I could do without the rain again. A big thank you to all the staff and everyone at Birch who helped us from start to finish.”

Director Holly was pleasant and welcoming answering my questions. Most impressive community sailing center is been there over 50 years. Well organized and run. This is the place to learn how to sail, at very reasonable pricing. If you go there, tell them that Lake Michigan Sailing Club sent you.”

“Very nice facility to watch a hockey game.. A lot of stairs leading down to the rink if you have ambulatory issues. (There may be an elevator). Downtown parking is the only issue, otherwise a great venue.”

“We held our granddaughter's bridal shower here today. It was spectacular. The building was clean and spacious. The only problem we had was where to put the full garbage bags. We ended up putting them outside in the waste receptacles but I'm worried about Racoons, etc getting into them overnight. There should be a dumpster somewhere easily accessible to the building. We will rent from here again.”
