“Nicky and Dr. Bob are angels. Nicky went above and beyond to provide me and our sweet Remy the support we needed, I could never thank her enough. Dr. Bob is the sweetest soul and I was grateful for the peace he brought during one of the most difficult days of our lives. The thought of bringing our baby to a scary place on his last day breaks my heart, and I am forever grate for the invaluable service they provide. This was such an awful day, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. Nicky and Dr. Bob were so compassionate and walked us through the whole process. We were at home, in our safe place, full of love, kisses, and tears.Nicky and Dr. Bob, thank you is not enough. We are truly grateful for you.?”
“Dr. Thelen is amazing. I first met her when I brought my cat Phat Boy to see her. He was 16 years old and he was sick. I wanted to make sure I made the right choices for him to have the best quality of life possible for the time he had left. She was so informative and kind. “I trust HCVC. I recently adopted a rescue who came from a shelter using a vet who cleared her for adoption while she had serious health issues that were evident with a cursory glance. Dr. Dzika and his assistant (Imani?) were so caring and thorough. Dr. Dzika explained what her needs would be and how I can best meet them for her. He cleaned out her ears for me (I had no idea they'd been so neglected, as well); and provided immediate relief for her while teaching me the proper way to keep them clear. He prepared me for what we'd be facing for her much needed dental treatment, patiently answered every question I had and assured me that we're welcome to come in, email or call anytime we needed to. Our girl has many health issues as a result of years of neglect and confinement (breeder). I'm glad we have him caring for our her and we are now more hopeful for her future. Our previous girl was with HCVC for all of her 13+ years and received exceptional, compassionate care, as well.”

From the moment we walked in, Andrea, the vet assistant, was exceptional — compassionate, attentive, and genuinely kind. She took the time to listen, asked thoughtful questions, and treated my cat with such care and respect that it immediately put me at ease. You can tell when someone truly loves animals and understands how stressful vet visits can be — Andrea is that person.
Dr. Steve and Dr. Nick were equally outstanding. Both doctors were thorough, knowledgeable, and patient, explaining everything clearly without rushing or dismissing concerns. They approached the situation with a balance of clinical expertise and genuine empathy, which is exactly what you hope for when your pet’s health is on the line. I felt fully informed, supported, and confident in the care plan moving forward.
What really stood out was the team dynamic — everyone worked seamlessly together, communicated clearly, and treated both pets and people with respect. It never felt transactional; it felt like a team that truly cares.

“I was looking for a new vet because we had recently moved and my cat was sick. It was really easy to schedule an appointment online. Once I did, I was called shortly after with a recommendation that he come in sooner and provided availability for same day appointments. The staff was all very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. My cat is very warry of new people, especially when he's being poked and looked at during a vet appointment. He was so comfortable and relaxed, so I was, too. The provided detailed care instructions which include quick solutions to try to address his illness. The price was also really reasonable. Overall, would highly recommend Small Animal Hospital.”

“I recently took my dog, Ginger, for her second lymes disease vaccination. Due to the appointment being strictly with the vet tech, I only had to pay for the vaccine. The vet tech actually gave Ginger the injection in the waiting room because there were no other clients/patients there at the time. Ginger didn't even notice that she received the injection. The vet tech gave her treats for being a good girl. The tech asked for permission to give Ginger treats before she did.”

“Dr. Sherer is fantastic! I highly recommend them. Cat care in general is not cheap, so don’t go in expecting to spend $100 one time and never worry about your cat again. Dr. Sherer went above and beyond to inform me everything about my cat’s teeth extraction and cleaning. They called in advance for optional procedures and outlined every step of the process. I’m very grateful for their expertise and they are well worth the money.”
“My mother and i extend our sincerest gratitude for how wonderful and kind the staff were towards our Misty. Dr. Amy is absolutely brilliant and was a great comfort when our girl passed. Because of her, we felt much more confident that we were doing the right thing for Misty.
She’s home with us now, in a beautiful box with her sweet paw prints alongside the lovely card we were sent. When we are ready to bring a new pet into our lives, we are absolutely coming here again.
This team really cares, they remember you, and look forward to seeing you and your pet, they are very intelligent, respectful, and mindful. The first thing Dr. Amy said when she saw us was that she missed us, that was so sweet to hear especially on such a hard day. The staff were so lovely, offering water and letting us take our time, i really liked that we paid in the room instead of in the waiting room cause my mom and i were a MESS (understandably so.)
Misty felt really comfortable and safe here.
