“The only issue I have with banking here is the check deposit policy. I only deposit 2 maybe 3 paper checks yearly, the rest is direct deposit. When you go in and deposit a check, it immediately shows in your account, but is unavailable until the next business day. Other banks I've banked with in the past including Verve were same day, and ones that were different were either early 2000s, or had a set time that transactions/deposits would post the following business day. This doesn't matter a whole lot Monday through Thursday, but if say you deposit a check on Friday you're stuck waiting until Monday without access to your funds.”

“My banking is done in the cities, where when I called to pick up a cashiers check, was told I'd have to request it in person. I went to Altra where a few weeks ago I opened an account with $10. I explained to the rep my situation and I was hoping to write out a personal check for their cashiers check? No surprise, they couldn't do it. A gal came out of an office to tell the rep to find me a shared branch. As he was searching we discussed my account. He informed me my bank was a shared branch w GECU, I would be able to obtain a check there! His co-worker said she thought I could write out a personal check for a house closing. I didn't want to risk it, I'd rather get a cashiers check as I was instructed. But THANKS Altra for the team effort in getting me what I needed and in such a timely fashion. Much Appreciated!”
