Spring Harbor Beach Park is a small, peaceful, and very nice hidden gem on Lake Mendota. It is a great beach with a beautiful view, a sandy beach with no rocks, and convenient restrooms. The park provides hiking, fishing, and boat rentals including pontoon. It is a perfect spot for a quiet paddle, a quick swim, a lakeside picnic, or to just relax. There is ample parking just across the street. The beach has expanded over the years, offering a lot of shade from many trees, though bugs can be present. The aurora borealis is very visible when storms occur.
I love this park. I get my walks in. I go under University Avenue for safety. Plenty of Ample parking. Aurora borealis is very visible when the storms occur.

I love to see how much this beach has expanded over the years. This beach provides hiking, fishing, boat rentals including pontoon. It's not incredibly deep until further. No rocks, sandy for the most part, weedy somewhat farther out. But still a great beach.
