I always enjoy my interactions with the staff. They are patient, friendly, and willing to talk. I've received and made great recommendations over the years. The willingness to incorporate local tastes while still cultivating their own selection is what makes Star a neighborhood gem.

If you want to nerd-out about beer or bourbon, these are your people. Great recommendations, but also honest when they haven't tried something.I don't drink wine much, so I don't know if they are as knowledgeable about wine as beer and bourbon.
