“Devil's Head Skiing is some of the best in the Midwest... Which honestly doesn't say much, but we make due with what we have! What I like about it is that there are a variety of trails that actually meander through the woods, rather than other resorts in the area that just have straight down groomers. My only criticism is that the lifts are super old and slow...they really need to get a couple new high speed lifts, especially the fact that the ascent is higher than other resorts in the area. Besides that, the lodge is nice, the instructors are great and the trails are well maintained and fun!”

“Can't recommend this place enough. Perhaps the closest inn to the lake, a vhs library with VCRs in every room, and great service. My group was so please on arrival that we extended the trip an extra night.”

“We stayed at Lucky's Lodge over the Labor Day holiday, my wife and I where extremely impressed! We rented the king suite, very spacious layout with a nice size fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom was a separate room with a door. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.”

“Everyone at the hotel was accommodating and helpful. We had a group of family members staying at the hotel because of an upcoming event and it was a great place to stay. I would definately stay in the future!”

“The Spinning Wheel Motel is a hidden gem near downtown—fair prices, comfortable beds, and clean rooms make it a solid choice for travelers. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t pretend to be fancy but nails the basics exactly right. You’ll sleep well, save a few bucks, and have easy access to everything in town.

The only bummer? Checkout is at 10 a.m.—a bit early if you’re hoping to sleep in.”
