“This is the most wonderful store. Such a great selection of candles and other gifty type stuff, a lot of it local. I always end up spending more than I intended to when I go there. Staff are really helpful and welcoming. I've started bringing all my out-of-town visitors here, and it is always a hit.”

“Downtown tour was really good and Randy did well in describing the historic buildings and navigating the group in and out of the sun on a hot day. Ranged from the river to the famous Milwaukee Art Museum on the lake. Mostly outside but stopped inside a few special buildings. Appreciated the microphone and headsets so we could still hear without being next to the tour guide.”

“Went for an Alcohol Inks painting workshop. The shop itself is very cute and cozy with a small town/country feel. Organized disarray that makes exploring more enjoyable, making little discoveries.
The people are so warm and welcoming. The workshops are small so you get good instruction and attention when needed. Instructions are clear and come with an associated demonstration before you try it yourself. We started by testing the ink colors and consistency on a scrap strip so we could know how they would look and react as we used them in our actual paintings.
We painted three pieces altogether. The first one is not as good as the others as we were learning techniques for working with the inks. Once you have that first one under your belt, it becomes easier to blend and manipulate the inks on the next pieces.
We really enjoyed this workshop and will definitely be doing more here.”
“Gift shop has unique items and standard stuff. But the new restaurant at the same location, on lower level has limited weekday afternoon hours. Best for carryout. Food is delicious and a real value. Name is Deli on Crown. Could have a better name, but you don't eat the name. Staff is attentive and prepares consistently delicious food. We will be back soon.”

“I stopped here with my young niece to find a present for her brother. The shop owner was friendly and offered my niece a free pair of earrings from a large handmade selection. She has been wearing them every day since! There were lots of clever gift options for all ages, and I even found a Swedish dish cloth in a mid century pattern for my kitchen.”
