“My wife lost her earrings at a retail store while trying on clothes. Anyway, I filed a claim and the process could have been smoother, but we did get them replaced.Once we had all the documentation (statement from the retail store, receipt showing the purchase value, sworn affidavit to Jewelers Mutual) it was processed immediately. Getting the sworn statement from the retail store was difficult because they had to consult their legal team. I had to explain to them that they were not liable. This process took 1.5 months.If Jewelers Mutual could make that process a bit simpler by just requiring the sown affidavit and purchase receipt it would have saved me a month. However, I do understand their organization trying to avoid fraud, but from a user experience it was a bit more work because it required a dozen of phone calls back and forth and several emails explaining the situation several times to multiple people at the retail store.I gave them an overall score of 4 because the user experience from a claims perspective was not what I would consider world class. The payment processed in a timely manner, ability to purchase additional insurance, ease of use of their website, renewal and communication were definitely world class (5). I still would highly recommend using their services. I have all my wife's jeweler through them and will be adding my watches later this year. My wife wears her jewelry because Jewelers Mutual Group gives her the feeling of security and joy of wearing her jewelry .”
