“A huge thank you to all the staff responsible for making my daughter’s wedding reception so special. Their hard work made our stress levels disappear. They are all so easy going and friendly. With dual buffets for guests and family style for head tables, everyone was eating in record time!! And the food was delicious. Beef tips and chicken were fantastic! Potatoes were perfect and mad props for the real sweet corn! We feel like we got more than what we paid for! Highly recommend Smiley’s!”

“A lodge this impressive is hard to leave. From the moment you walk through the doors, everything feels upscale, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The lobby and gathering spaces are beautiful, with massive fireplaces, plenty of seating, and inviting areas to relax both indoors and outside. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The beds made it easy to get a great night's sleep, and the outdoor seating areas were a perfect place to unwind. The amenities were excellent as well, including a well-equipped fitness center, executive lounge, kids club, business center, and multiple spaces throughout the property to work, relax, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. What truly elevated the experience was the staff. Every interaction was friendly, professional, and welcoming. This is the kind of property that pays attention to the details and creates an experience rather than just a place to stay. Highly recommended, and a return visit is definitely in my future.”

“Had broasted chicken, scalloped potatoes, coleslaw, a bun, and some corn, and it was all so good. Hands down best chicken I have ever eaten. And it was at a fundraiser event for Portage County Literacy Council, so that was great too!”

“I would definitely recommend The Annex for a private event! We had our wedding ceremony here and it was beautiful! It’s a really cool space with so much character - wood floors, brick walls, and the pretty detailed ceiling. The event coordinator, Erin, was so nice to work with! She was so kind and very accommodating. The one downside is that there isn’t a ton of natural light, so keep that in mind for photos. However, we were able to use the upstairs space with lots of windows for bridal party/family photos, which were stunning! With it being a new venue, we were expecting a few kinks as they figure out operations, but overall we were happy with our experience and would have our ceremony there all over again! Thank you for a beautiful day!”

“Great safe family fun with something to do for everyone! The food is actually pretty good if you are hungry. Birthday Parties are reasonable, with a huge party room to accommodate gatherings, large or small. Family owned and family fun, in my opinion this is the best place for everyone in the family of all ages to have fun!”
