“The Ivy House was the perfect venue for our dream wedding! Great getting ready space, ample parking, beautiful ceremony space, professional staff, great drinks, fabulous DJ and sound system, and the list goes on. We got so many compliments from our guests on the space and we loved that it didn’t need much decorating to make it the warm and cozy vibe we were after. They were super flexible with allowing us to drop things off earlier in the week and pick stuff back up after the wedding which was much appreciated. Bonus shoutout to the incredible DJ, Julian from airwaves, who really brought the party and matched our energy so well for the whole night. I want to get married again so we can hang out at the Ivy House all day again!”
“We had our wedding at Story Hill FireHouse and it was incredible. The venue was the perfect size for our 102 person event. Although we did not have a wedding planner, the owner Janelle made sure everything ran smoothly and effortlessly. We met with Janelle a handful of times prior to the big day and from day 1 she was on top of her game - she was so easy to work with, very helpful, super friendly, and just an overall pleasure to be around. She connected us with other vendors that knew the venue and were also easy to work with and provided the most outstanding details for our big day.
The venue was absolutely gorgeous and well-maintained. It was the perfect location and style that we wanted for our wedding day. We would highly recommend any type of event at the Story Hill FireHouse.”

“Funeral luncheon for my mom. Food and staff were excellent. My mom lived in Cudahy for 40 years, most of those around the corner from Pulaski Inn. This was the best place to honor her.

“The Pabst is a beautiful theater. The seating is tight. As of 3/26, they offer pre- paid parking in the parking structure adjacent to the Milwaukee Athletic Club. I would suggest that people park somewhere else. We found it a little difficult to get the door to open to enter, then impossible to re-enter after the show, despite punching in the numeric code provided on the Pabst website. Many patrons were in the same position. We had to run in when other cars drove out. It would also be easy to miss the fact that you are going to need a code to get back into the structure. It is mentioned on the Pabst website, but not when you purchase the pass nor on the pass.”
“I got married at The Barley Room in August 2026 and would 100% reccomended it to anyone that would like to get married in downtown Milwaukee!! The venue is in the perfect spot downtown with plenty of hotels nearby. Our favorite part about getting married here was obviously the beautiful venue with natural light, beautiful plants, and the iconic cream city brick. Our second favorite part about the venue was the staff. Clay was wonderful to work with and extremely flexible. The bar staff were very kind and served great drinks all night. Anne was so helpful with helping us create a vision for our big day! We had a minor issue with the amount of tables and chairs, but she came over to the venue immediately and fixed it, so I wouldn’t even consider it a problem. The space was so great and easy to make my own, and I believe that it is the perfect spot for any type of wedding and color palette. We could not have spent our money in any better way than at The Barley Room. The service and space we received for the cost was so worth it! This venue is all about making your big day special and does not charge unnecessary wedding fees nor does it have any ridiculous rules such as the ones I ran into while looking at other venues in the area. If you’re thinking about booking the Barley Room, just do it. You won’t regret it!”

“My daughter had her wedding and reception at The George on July 31, 2026. The day was nothing short of magical! The space, both upstairs and below in The Madcap Lounge, was stunning. The food and drinks provided by Shully’s catering were absolutely delicious. To top it all off, the service provided by all of the staff could not have been more attentive and professional. In particular, Becky went above and beyond to make sure that every aspect of our special event ran flawlessly.

“My wife and I absolutely loved having our wedding at The Pritzlaff and experienced the epitome of hospitality from all the staff, particularly Ali. The 333 venue is elegant, spacious, hosts a grand bar, includes a loft which we used for ceremony musicians, and a vault that we used for our audio guestbook. The space is grand, inviting, and open. Its location by downtown and the Historic Third Ward is perfect for guests, as well. Ali and Olivia were fantastic to work with every single step of the way and answered all questions in a timely manner with care and intentionality. Our wedding was gorgeous and well-organized in large part due to Ali and the clear communication we had with her throughout the planning process and actual day. We highly recommend The Pritzlaff for your wedding day! You should also plan to take photos on the roof!”

“I had the honor of photographing a wedding reception at the River Valley Historic Venue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and it was beautiful! The space was charming and while cocktail hour was happening upstairs, the reception space was being transformed downstairs. I highly recommend considering River Valley Historic Venue for your wedding!!”
“We had our wedding there, and we couldn't have been happier. The price of a park building but the beauty of something much more expensive and the location by the lake - you can't beat it. You need to book SUPER far in advance though to get your event here. After I figured out I wanted our wedding to be here, I literally just accepted the first date they had open and it was more than a year and a half away. This place is a truly unique and lovely venue for a great price, it is hard to compete with it for a wedding or other special event for that size and price. Guests should be made aware ahead of time that parking WILL be challenging. It can be stressful if it is a surprise for them. There isn’t a parking lot, and many people live in this area and visit the park, so you’re parking amongst locals.
Separately, we go to the beer garden often to hang out and eat, and it is wonderful. I love that we can bring kiddos and dogs!”

I had no idea this was a Shriner lodge… or that Shriners are high order Free Masons… so I pretty much accidentally broke into a meeting of a high level secret society for a photo op - at least the sheriff thought my cluelessness was funny.”

“My husband and I had our wedding reception here in August and we got nonstop compliments about the Bucyrus club. This place is truly a hidden gem, and none of our guests had ever been before. There are not many wedding venues left that allow you to truly customize your reception to your liking and make it your own. Many places just allow you to pick from a menu of options, but at Bucyrus the menu is just the beginning. They happily made us custom appetizers for our tasting and ultimately our reception. We asked them to do last minute things like make relish trays for our supper club themed reception which they did without any issue. The bartenders were great and many people commented that all of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. When I asked if we had any breathmints available, one of the staff members even went and grabbed a pack of mints from her own purse to give to me. Who does that?! This is a truly excellent family run business and a great venue if you are looking for great food and to be able to create a unique setting for your wedding reception.”
