“As a vintage radio and record player collector for over 45 years I used my collection mostly for display. But I always told people that if you want to have reliable working pieces you need to find a local vintage repair shop with experienced technicians willing to become your best friends when you need their expertise ?!Of course, there are cynics that will say the entire history of electronic consumer products has always been, and continues to be, a purposeful pursuit of manufactured, planned obsolescence! (Which helps to explain a lot!)I was fortunate to rediscover “Larrys Radio/TV and Electronics Repair Shop” in West Duluth. My new best friends! ✌️At times I’m reminded of “Emmetts Fix-It Shop” on the fictional Main Street of Mayberry! And I mean that as a compliment after having some old time record players restored to working condition by Steve at Larry’s TV! Please see the photos.And I will be back this Summer with a few more pieces ranging from Edison players, Victor wind-ups, and a variety of portable table-top record players in need of updating!Having some favorite pieces of my collection in working condition after all of these years has changed the “direction of my collection!”And I owe that to my friends at “Larrys Electronics Repair”. “I was at Verizon Wireless today because my phone was not working. I was busy talking with Ryan from sales while trying to figure everything out, and my toddler was not very happy about having to wait.
Justin, a staff member at Verizon, was incredibly kind and patient. He played hide and seek, chased my toddler around a bit, and even sat down to color with him. Justin was absolutely wonderful and so good with my toddler. It truly meant so much to me.
All of the staff working today were kind, patient, and understanding about my toddler needing to move around and stay busy. No one made me feel stressed or uncomfortable — instead, they were supportive and welcoming.

My phone was flintonish at best.As a matter of fact according to Corporate Verizon it wasn't considered a phone.What ? I've been paying my phone bill for that type of phone for 6 years ands it's not considered a phone.Well the technicians all four of them over two visits spent over two racking their brain's try to figure out how I could my new Galaxy S 24 ultra at the promotional prise.You should have seen the determination and commitment on there face.When the solution was thought of they were as happy as I was.I've been with Verizon for 30 years. “I decided to test my luck with an walk in appointment at the Duluth Geek Squad location. Brandon Napoi was on his lunch break but cut it short to help me troubleshoot an internet connectivity problem I was having on my Microsoft Surface. Brandon was so nice and friendly. I told him I did all the steps online recommended. He wanted to try them just incase and when he ran into the same issue he took a different approach and changed the GHz to include 2.4 band and it my computer connected to the hotspot finally! I cannot thank Brandon enough for his time and friendly service!”
