“I've lived here over a year, and I think most of the negative reviews come from the previous landlord who is no longer managing the property as of fall 2021. The cost of rent is a several hundred dollars cheaper than comparable units in Milwaukee. Soundproofing between floors isn't perfect, but not terrible - I cannot make out conversations from my neighbors at all. I have interacted with current management several times and only have had positive experiences. Quick to respond and understanding. Nice location close to downtown. Would recommend.”

“I will be moving to a new state in a month and figured I'd share my experience with The Meadows in Waukesha. I really enjoyed my time here. The property is tucked away in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It is surrounded by stores that are just a few blocks away, making shopping very convenient. The rent price is very fair and they cover most utilities, making rent even cheaper. Neighbors keep to themselves and seem very nice.

The grounds are always clean and well maintained. Parking is the best I've experienced. I've never had an issue with parking. Each complex has its own separate parking lot and even a huge overflow lot 5ft over which is great for visitors. Maintenance has been amazing. They respond to ticket submissions within 24hrs and do a great job fixing whatever it is you need fixing. All of my requests were taken care of next day.

Now lets talk about the cons. There are house centipedes in my unit. I've never even seen one until I moved in. I kill about 5 of them a month. They're big, they're fast, and they're nasty. They're harmless, but I still don't want to cohabitate with them. The walls, doors, and ceilings are very thin. I hear everything. I hear my neighbors across from me, upstairs, in the halls. It's an older building so I guess it's to be expected.

There is virtually no security here. No cameras, no controlled access, nothing. Anyone can walk into our complex and harm us, steal our packages, or break into our storage units if they wanted to. AC here isn't the best either and doesn't do much in the summer. You have to sit in front of the AC unit to feel anything. The cupboards and cabinets are old. If you scrape, bump or rub it on accident, wood and paint debris will fall into your dishes, cups and utensils.

Honestly, my overall experience was positive. I'm able to overlook many of the cons. For the price, amenities, maintenance response, management, and overall atmosphere, I would recommend this place but caution that it is an older complex.”
