“We're from Seattle towing a travel trailer from Mt. Rushmore to Yellowstone. Needless to say, both far from home and our comfort zone. Our check engine came on just before Buffalo WY and then started flashing, non stop. We found Bud's Auto Repair on Google and headed straight there. Ken & his team were awesome! Even though they had a shop full of cars to work on, Ken had a tech look at our tow vehicle within a half hour. Literally 20 minutes later, they had diagnosed our problem, made the necessary repairs and had us headed back on the road! To be honest, I was desperate, I would have paid just about anything to be back on our vacation. Ken could have taken advantage and up charged for the repair. HE DID NOT. “Couple of days ago… just east of Buffalo WY… my car decided to hunt deer without a license on highway 90… I thought that with fairly moderate front end damage, I would be able to proceed as planned to Rapid City and then later to Minneapolis… but that pesky radiator started leaking… I called the Dad’s and the tow truck was there so fast that it resembled a F1 race track intervention. Isaiah - a young tow truck driver handled the situation with speed, efficiency and most of in total politeness (which made me wish my kids were there :)… anyhow- I was towed to Rapid city and delivered to my hotel only 1 hour later than anticipated. Next day I got a moving truck and a dolly and made it to Mpls just fine.I have to say that it is one thing to be in the city where one can get anywhere even on foot… vs more remote, gorgeous space but miles away from typical services that we take for granted. It is totally refreshing to see how things can work when pride is part of a solid business.Now, one more thing, Isaiah…, do not be afraid of a city… majority of drivers there are way worse than you !… and next time we play my music for a bit :)”

“I can't say enough about Randy and his team over at Platinum Trailers. I'm from Texas but hauled to Gilette for the National High School Finals Rodeo. 19hours and 4blowouts later I pulled into Randy's shop for help. He actually jumped on the repair the same day I dropped it off because he understood the severity of the situation. I needed axles but only had 7 days to get them delivered and installed before we needed to be back on the road headed home to Texas. Randy jumped through hoops to find me 2 axles from his supplier to install which would have had me up and running in 3days. However, because it was a warranty claim we had to wait on the manufacturer to ship us their replacements which arrived on Friday afternoon at 4pm. Randy had his team installed the new axles NASCAR style, lol. I was out of there by 5. Through the whole experience, Platinum Trailers understood the stressfullness of being 1300 miles from home stranded with our four legged family members. He was understanding and worked hard to make sure we were back on the road by the end of the finals. He understands what it means to put the customer first. Thank-you Platinum Trailers.”

“11/9/23 Edit: Scott and Seth worked hard to get me in a different vehicle at a reasonable price when I finally gave up on the Jeep. I still think their detailing staff and pre-sale inspection need improvement though.I bought a used (2022 with low mileage) vehicle from this dealership in July. It has had multiple issues since I purchased it which started within a day or two after buying it. I was told I needed to take it to the Jeep dealership since it was under warranty. I have only been able to drive it for a total of 3 weeks over the last 3 months. It is still in the shop because the problem continues despite multiple attempts to repair it. This has been very disappointing and frustrating. The dealership should have thoroughly checked the vehicle out and had it repaired prior to listing it. There seems to be little quality control with their used vehicles as most of the ones I looked at were dirty or had a problem. I don't recommend buying a used vehicle from them.”

I was quoted $1000 more at the other auto shop than what I paid here at Octane with twice as much work completed. They are very professional, kind, and have an adorable shop dog. Please consider any auto repairs and your oil changes here, they are worth it!”
