“This store is great. The store at east limestone is horrible. The 2nd shift Manager smokes by the door hates kids. I have a veido of her smoking right in front of the door. This is very dangerous to health of kids. And refuse to wear name tag while working and refuse to give her name so i can call the corporte. If you have kids, do not go there, she will make some BS and make announcements. She make a announcement when my kid went to put something up in our buggy and helped to cleanup the mess other make.”
“Huge selection of everything. Clothes, food, kitchen items, and more. None of the food was expired but was close to expired, so be sure to check the dates. Everything is good quality for cheap prices. Very happy to see the store come back. Staff are very helpful.”

“This particular store has come up a long way. The store manager that has been here for almost a year now has really turned things around for the better. The new assistant store manager that’s there now has amazing customer service and is always there to help! If something is not on the shelf when needed, these people will go and find whatever you need, even if it’s in the back. Highly recommend!”

“I like this DG everytime I have been it there, it's always stocked. It has been clean basically. Sometimes you do have to wait few minutes. The workers are friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. There is handicap parking available.”

“Out of the MANY DG's I've been to in Athens, this one is on its game! Rarely do I find boxes stacked up all over the place waiting to be unpacked for us to purchase and the cashier was on her game by checking my receipt before I left because I used self-checkout and had several items that were not in a bag, large items, and most importantly to me, I didn't have a single problem using the App! The app saves me lots of money! Once my sister showed me how to use it.... I can't not use it now ??! Good job N. Jefferson!! I literally drive by Three Dollar generals to get to get to yours & one is less than a mile from my house! Kudos to the manager ??? & the employees ???!!”

“Sometimes good, sometimes the isles are so crowded you can barely get down the isles. I love the clover valley hazelnut coffee creamer so I don't have to go all the way into the back of the store all the time. The staff are hit and miss...some are friendly, others not so nice.”
“The cashier was very polite as I walked in & said if I needed any help finding anything just ask. Most of the time at Dollar General, I have not been told that as I walked inside. Being that this particular DG is one I frequently visit, I was able to find everything fairly quickly. I do love to take a quick peak at all of the home decor items that are for year round & seasonal. Sometimes I can find the perfect little addition to a room in my home while I'm there.”

“UPDATE! Temporarily closed for remodeling. I'll let y'all know when we have a re-grand opening date. Previous review :: Love this Dollar General! My family and I frequently drive out of our way to go to this store. They are almost always well stocked and always clean. They are sincerely better stocked than other stores in the area.”
“10/10 dollar general experience. You never know what to expect but never surprised! Came in for bug spray and lawn care. I think their air was out the day I went in, but they had plenty of fans going. Very nice workers”

“Today was my first time visiting the Dollar General off Hwy 251 near Athens, and I had the pleasure of meeting Catherine and Elizabeth. They were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home—like I’d been shopping there for years. It’s rare to find that kind of warmth and customer service these days. The store was also clean and well-organized. I’ll definitely be back. Shout out to Catherine and Elizabeth for making my first visit a great one!

“This is our closest store so we really appreciate the fact that we can drive a few minutes and get most anything we really need. Things are a little bit higher at Dollar General for the name brand items than at WalMart, but you’re paying for the convenience. I’m really glad they recently remodeled and added the small fresh food section of fruits and vegetables also.”
“My sister and I just had our 10-year anniversary there. I know you might think it's crazy but true love is true love and we truly love our Dollar General. it's one of our favorite stores to get everything we need for our trailer. it's looking real nice now.”

“We wanted to remodel our kitchen in our 1949 home and knew it would be one of the most expensive updates to our home. I had gotten estimates from different big box companies and decided to check Discount Dans. These are heavy cabinets with a wood box . We also purchased the counters here. The price allowed us a new kitchen. The manager and employees have been accomidating to any needs or requests. If you are someone who is able to install cabinets, then I definitely recommend checking their options. I will update with pictures when we are completely finished.”
