About DoubleTree by Hilton Birmingham Perimeter Park
The DoubleTree by Hilton Birmingham Perimeter Park offers a mixed experience for guests. Many find it a great hotel with a very nice location, though some note the secluded hillside setting next to a busy road is a bit strange. The service is consistently described as nice, with friendly and helpful staff. Guests appreciate the lobby's signature aroma, spacious and quiet rooms, comfortable bathrooms, and better-than-average showers. The hotel is noted as exceptionally clean overall. However, several significant drawbacks are frequently mentioned. The hotel charges $10 per night for parking, which many find ridiculous for an uncovered lot. Rooms lack microwaves, a noted inconvenience. Maintenance issues are common, with reports of broken fixtures, items coming off walls, non-working lamps, and occasional problems like an air conditioner being out. Some rooms are viewed as middle-of-the-line, run-down, or in need of repair, with thin walls. The on-site dining is not a full restaurant but a quick-service bar with limited options, though the continental breakfast and dinner receive high praise from some. The pool area is seasonal and can appear neglected. Bed firmness and feather pillows are not to all guests' liking.
Good location for short visits. Lots of food choices and restaurants around. Wish their rooms have microwaves.

Nice service. Very nice location. Room was middle of the line. GFCI receptacle back box in bathroom was completely coming out of wall. Cable port for TV Ethernet was completely off of the wall. We came in from work at 11:00pm to our air conditioner being out. Paid $10 a night for parking. Had to pay for breakfast.
