“This spot was on my list of restaurants to try. Easy to locate. You get to select items from the bar. Found that some items listed on the large menu displayed on the wall are not available daily. Some are only available on Sundays. People were welcoming and friendly. And make sure you have cash as that is all that's accepted. I didn't get to order anything as what I wanted was only available on Sunday. Maybe I will try another time.”
“The staff is always helpful. Lots of variety in dry goods, seafood, meats, vegetables, fruits. Keep an eye out for weekly BOGOs and digital coupons. Make sure to sign up as a Club Publix member!”
“I love the soup bar. Everyday there is a different soup available which is great. They are always hot and just enough to fill you up. Also the saltines that the give out with the soup and chilli are scrumptious absolutely scrumptious. Give it a try you want be disappointed ?”
“I was a little hesitant to shop here because I thought it would be way overpriced. I was wrong. It is a great little store with many quality products. My favorite is the Sprouts brand olive oil and I also get the organic, not from concentrate pomegranate juice. The people are all so friendly. Don't forget to bring your reusable shopping bags!.”
“I had great service yesterday when there was confusion over an app coupon! I love this location. Great meat department, and butchers who have good advice on meat. They also offer Alabama raised grass fed beef, which I have had on multiple occasions, and it is so flavorful. Great pork and chicken, too. The freshly made guacamole (deli area) is heavenly, chunks of avocado, purple onions, tomatoes, plenty of lime, perfect cilantro.
Everyone who works there is so friendly and it feels like a small-town grocery store. My favorite place to shop hands down.

“What a nice store. We'll stocked and CLEAN. The staff stopped me several times to see if I needed any help finding or reaching things. I found some nice BOGO DEALS in the cereal department and some really great prices in the meat department.

“Publix usually earn a 5 starfrom me, but this one has problems with their produce. Too often I find produce that is severely bruised or moldy. And I've had several cut fruit bowls have a significant portion of the fruit that is not yet fully ripe.
I really like Publix and I'll continue to shop at this one... just not so much for my produce.”

“The nicest people ever. So convenient to have nearby. They are super well stocked with a great variety of all the products you would expect a corner market would have - and fresh stock too, not like a roadside gas station store that has one random tube of toothpaste and three dusty cans of chicken noodle soup that look like they’re older than my parents. Also GREAT wine selection. I always appreciate the number of CHILLED white wine options they have. And the showcase shelf with little info cards. Only thing I wish they had more of/better options are the greeting cards, but that’s more of a me issue for always forgetting to grab a birthday card till the last minute ;).

“Aldi's is my go-to store. They have great prices fresh produce and dairy. I notice the prices are coming back down on items in the store. Go early the stock is a lot better”
“I need to visit this place more often. A LOT has changed since my grandparents brought me here when I was young. I feel the nostalgia! I expected to see more African American vendors like in my young years. I was surprised to see more Hispanics and everything appears to be shipped or packaged from somewhere else. I definitely will be back because I need to learn what has changed AND I want to learn more about where the produce is grown”

“They got liquor. Plenty of it. The wayward and lost of the neighborhood wander like zombies in the parking lot, while the charming owners crack jokes and welcome actual paying customers with a smile. Gotta say, my favorite package store in downtown Birmingham.”

“My mother and I always loved going to PW after having medical checkups from the nearby Cahaba clinic.
The customers were intelligent, the cashier and clerks were professionally trained well.

“Using this space to ask if you can carry more vegetarian items. I like WD but Publix carries vegetarian refried beans from Rosaritas, vegetarian chilis, and bean taquitos, so sometimes it’s hard to justify not just going there. Such a small, stupid thing, I know, but I’m always just a little bummed about missing some of those. Still, much prefer you to Publix!”
