“Walked here last night for cigarettes because where I usually get them was closed due to "down system". I hadn't been here in quite a while and was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and saw the entire store had been remodeled and looked so much nicer and cleaner and more organized with longer, straight aisles rather than the jumbled up cluster of every which direction chaos! The cashiers were very friendly, pleasant and sociable! Cigarettes were average price for the current market, which is still ridiculously high in my book, $3+ more than the brand I get at the DG. But since they don't carry my usual brand here, I got my old name brand. Will definitely be back and will get more up to date pictures than the ones currently posted on their review site. It looks MUCH BETTER than the current run down, tired old pictures posted now! Very impressed!!”

I had a bad experience at an opposite store in the mall (clinique-belk) looking for a lipstick, and Donna turned my frown upside down and helped me pick out a beautiful red lipstick. “Looks like a pretty meh and dodgy Walmart from the outside, but they carry some things that other stores, and even other Walmarts, do not. Particularly Mexican stuff, like specialty dried peppers and corn husks (for tamales)--and La Banderita chorizo, which isn't the best but is still miles better than that Cacique garbage which is the only option in most places, locally. Galileo salame/pepperoni, swiss Gruyere, Bob's Red Mill white grits, stuff like that. Surprising for such a store, really, but ultimately still a standard Walmart otherwise.”

“This Family Dollar I shopped at on October 3, 2023 was the only one in the entire Mobile area that had everything I needed after going to 3 other lame locations that didn't have anything and one had a rude employee that I had to remind that he was serving the customer and not the other way around. The Springhill location was a breath of fresh air compared to the others I went to. The stocking clerk was excellent and gave me the beef Jamaican patties I was looking for at the other locations right off of the stocking cart instead of giving me a smart remark like the clerk at the Stanton Rd location. The stock clerk at Springhill deserves a raise and any perk he wants. He's good. The cashier was friendly and okay too. Going through the line was kind of slow because we had people who didn't know how to use a debit card after debit cards have been out for over 30 years but, other than that, this is a good Family Dollar location. One of the best I've been to I'm decades.”
