“My grandson recommended Smith’s to me. They had replaced a motor in his truck couple of years ago. Still going strong. He doesn’t get excited about much except Alabama basketball , but when I told him I needed some work on my AC on Mazda CX5 it was on . Couldn’t get him to stop talking about Smith’s. Stopped by to ask about their scheduling procedures , etc. Here is where I must apologize to the young lady at the front desk because I did not get her name but she was professional and very helpful. Advised me of drop off procedures when they were closed because that’s only time I could get a ride. Dropped off early am. Sevice advisor Mr . Dominic Gee called me mid morning to advise my AC was fixed and what they had found and how much that service was . He also advised that my serpentine belt and belt tensioner needed replaced and how much that would be and advised they could complete that work same day . I agreed . About 2 hours later Mr . Gee called and advised my Mazda was ready . Went to to pickup and same nice , professional young lady checked me out. Mr. Sherman Smith came into the office at this point to show me the cracked belt and the worn out tensioner. They looked terrible. I was driving on borrowed time. Finally, I am not too much on giving over the top reviews ( good or bad ) except when they are deserved. 5 stars doesn’t do Smith’s justice. I will definitely go back when I need anything else done. Enjoyed nice cold AC all the way home !! Thanks to everyone at Smith’s. Nicely done !!”

“My Hyundai Elantra was making a horrible noise like an old man. I took it here and they did a great job. New tires, alignment, tie rods, control arm, and wheel bearing. They also replaced a radiator hose so I’m not overheating anymore. They did the job in a half a day and everything’s running great three weeks later. I highly recommend!”

“I want to express my appreciation to Tuscaloosa Hyundai and especially the sales person that worked with me, Richard Sharper, for making an unexpected stop in Tuscaloosa a less trying experience due to car trouble.
I was recently traveling from Jackson, MS to Birmingham, AL when my 2016 Hyundai Tuscon began experiencing significant failure. I had to spend the night and went to the dealership first thing in the morning. The service personnel were very nice and my car was evaluated in a timely manner. Unfortunately the car was going to require a new engine and the cost of the repair would have been more than the value of the car.
I met with the used car manager who gave me a fair trade value based on condition of the car. I then worked with Richard to look at options if I were to buy a car and he was patient as I considered all my options as buying a car was not on my radar.
Once I decided to move forward with a car purchase, Richard and the staff of the dealership worked with to get through the issues of not having a check or title with me and we were able to complete the transaction.
As I don't live in Tuscaloosa, I will not be using Tuscaloosa Hyundai for service, but I would recommend them as a good place to buy a car.”

I called because I needed a tire replaced and had a stuck lug nut. They answered right away and immediately ordered the tire for me. I showed up around 3:30, pulled in, they took my car, removed the destroyed lug nut, and had the tire changed in 30 minutes or less.
No upselling, no pressure, no BS about needing extra work. Just honest service. They stand by their work, and when I asked about an alignment, the pricing was very reasonable.
I highly recommend this place—way better than scammy places like Mavis.
The only downside (and this is minor) is the shop looks a little beat inside, but honestly I couldn’t care less when the service is this good.
Fast, friendly, affordable, and they don’t try to screw you over or damage your car to make more money. This is the spot.”

“People have to understand when you buy a used part it's not a new part that includes used motors and transmission you purchase. You get what you pay for. Luckily these guys will do whatever it takes to try and make it right if something goes bad with what you purchased within a reasonable amount of time of purchase. As for the people that purchase used motors and transmissions and expect their cars to be brand new after they have it installed and complain about there alternator and power steering pump and waterpump and radiator those are all your original parts and if they go bad after motor was installed thats on you so stop your crying. you purchased a engine which includes 2 heads and a block nothing else be thankful they give you the intake valve covers oil pan they don't have to. You come in with a car that will not run or knocking horribly and you get your vehicle back and engine is running and not knocking then the job was done correctly they are not responsible for anything else accept what you asked to have repaired and yes you will have to wait for your vehicle to get repaired because they have a long list of people needing their vehicles fixed that was there before you just like any other place of business so shutup with all your crying and be thankful someone was willing to help you fix YOUR CAR THAT YOU MESSED UP NOT THEM YOU DID IT then want to be mad because you have to wait to get it fixed and can't go to work. Take better care of your care and stop blaming everyone else for your problems you caused. And for Mrs Harris that posted that negative comment you stated you had to have a motor installed. Then went to say you have been driving your vehicle for weeks after motor was installed so it looks like to me you had a vehicle that wasn't running then you picked up a vehicle that was running and is still running and your complaining about a check engine light being on and want to give a bad review. Your motor was bad and would not run now it's giod and running and if you have something that was wrong that caused your motor to go bad in the first place DONT YOU THINK YOU SHOULD GO HAVE THAT FIXED BEFORE YOU CAUSE YOUR MOTOR TO GO BAD AGAIN. your a idiot for posting that if you asked for a motor to be replaced that's what they do not fix every single problem with your car and look at why your motor went bad and what caused it to go bad and do a 1000 point inspection on your car they replace the motor THAT YOU MESSED UP AND APPARENTLY NEW WHAT CAUSED IT TO MESS UP BECAUSE YOU STATED IT IN YOUR POST SO HOW ABOUT GETTING THAT FIXED AND SHUTTING UP. but no you would rather try to blame someone else for your neglect on your vehicle.”
