“I'm officially a budget rental car fan. I had a reservation with enterprise and got screwed over. I reserved a vehicle and when I showed up I was told they didn't have my vehicle nor could I rent a vehicle with a debit card.
Budget not only found me a vehicle at the last minute they also allowed me to rent my vehicle with a debit card. The rental was also an upgrade to what I was going to rent from enterprise plus it was less expensive! Hats off to Budget rental cars at the Birmingham airport! “Excellent experience! Arrived late from Denver, CO. on a Southwest Airlines flight @ 11:55pm, Thursday night, 10/02/2025 - Bama parents weekend! Hertz was prepared! They stayed open well past midnight to ensure that all Hertz customers were taken care of in a timely manner. There were two wonderful customer service agents in the Hertz Gold parking lot booth ready for the late night flight arrival rush! Way to go Hertz!! You exceeded my expectations!!!
Tips for success! 1) Be a Hertz Hold member! 2) Input flight time in reservation so they know when to expect you! Btw - all Hertz media states they close at 10pm and some sites say 11pm…I was concerned about the office closing before I arrived so I called Hertz at the airport and they stated that they are open till midnight…I am guessing that the main airport Hertz offices close at those times along with the other companies but that airport garage Hertz booth was open past midnight!!!”

“I booked through Priceline, and chose dealers choice as it was the most cost efficient option. I was honestly was a little concerned afterwards once I read so many negative reviews. My flight was delayed a couple of hours and there was no staff at the Dollar counter when I got there as it had closed. There was a sign to go to Hertz counter for assistance. I was taken care of extremely well there. Fast, super friendly check out, and got a new 2024 Nissan Sentra. Returning it was no issue as well. Super fast, no issues at all! 10/10 will do again!”
“First time that I have rented from this location. I made reservations online. When I got there I was greeted with smiles. No wait for someone to help me. I even joined in on a light funny conversion with others. I was in and out within 30 mins. And to top it off I was called the next day to follow-up on my experience! Great customer service is a great thing. And should be acknowledged just as much as bad service it not more. I haven't returned the rental yet, but I'm hopefully that the return process will be just as smooth and pleasant as the pick up. To be continued ;-)”
