“Nice clean gas station plus mini mart with a pizza deli. They have more than pizza. Breakfast, lunch, dinner items.They also carry non ethanol gas at 3 different pumps. 2 at the far west end and 1 at the truck diesel island in back. I test their non ethanol gas and have never found ethanol nor water in their fuel. Their regular gas has between 5% and 10% ethanol.Love this place. Wish more convenient stores were like this place.”
“This place is busy and you usually have to wait in line to get gas.. They should have more of these in town and are definitely needed in small towns.. It gets harder to get in and out of this place.. Much easier to go somewhere else, even if you pay more.”
“This is our favorite store for groceries because it is so close to our house and has the best meat selection in the area. The staff is always friendly and courteous, and we always feel welcome when we come in.
The produce is also very good. And we enjoy the bakery items quite a bit, too. We have been shopping here for years and will continue to do so.”

They have a nice little deli, I believe a decent sized salad bar.
Its a win win for anyone who goes there.
Fresh produce that looked really good, not withered and old.
The staff is always friendly, always helpful.
We stop there at least once to twice a week.
Their cheesecake is awesome, they have little refrigerated sections with premade sandwiches and different snacks.
My wife really enjoys their cakes and little sweets the offer.
It really is a great little place to stop, get gas, fill your belly and grab a little something for home meals and or that long drive ahead...

“The Headland Hometown Foodcenter is our locally owned grocery store. While some towns with a single grocery store have to deal with higher prices for a convenience factor, not at Hometown. Their prices are not only reasonable but competitive with those of the big stores in bigger towns.In addition to having freash produce year round, the produce section has seasonal selections from local growers and farmers supporting local families.The meat market has a wide range of selections of fresh cut meat at very reasonable prices.The staff is always friendly and helpful.”
“I appreciated the different selection here versus the Ashford location. The meat dept here was pretty cool. They had lots of my favorites in the pick 5 freezer. Overall, I'm shopping here again. Got Green tomatoes last visit. Fried up a mess of em.. . So good.”

“My sister & I along with our families moved to the Cowarts/Ashford 3yrs ago & couldn't be more happy with the decision. That being said we visited the Grocery Outlet/Food Depot/Piggly Wiggly for the first time today & omgoodness we were in love. The prices were good, the cashiers or staff were very nice, polite & just plain helpful. We were tickled to be back around a home town store again. We have missed that so much. I can say this...we will absolutely be back!!!”
“I went today for the first time since it was an IGA years ago. Yes, there is a mark up but I still think I saved on the few items I bought. I found some brands I grew up with in TN that I have not been able to find anywhere else in Dothan. I did not buy meat but perused it and it looked fresh and priced competitively. I also bought a few items of their brand to see if I like them. I did not notice the store being dirty like others have said. Cashier not out and out rude but very unfriendly.. like I had to force conversation. The owner/manager (I assume) did not speak but was talking to others I feel are regulars. If I owned a store I would make SURE to speak to those I did NOT recognize. Anyway, I didn’t stop there to check their personalities! I WILL shop there again. I love small stores!”

“So, I never write reviews on anything, but I've got to say, I love coming in here. It's conveniently located, about a minute from where I live, and the service is always great. I love that it's open 24/7 as someone that works night shift. The kiosk you can order from is such a great option because they make such a variety of food for a gas station. They'll even warm up the refrigerated sandiwches for you. I also just realized that there's a bin outside for donations. Saves me a trip across town. Such a great little gas station!”

“I stopped by this Dollar general after a trip to landmark Park. This Dollar general was clean and well stocked. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. I didn't know this Dollar general existed until I accidentally found it on the way home today.There is a large selection of products here and what I saw was cheaply priced.”

“The customer service standards in my store in Florida deteriorated, so I assumed that’s just how Publix is now. I came to Alabama and found that my Publix here is still superior to any other supermarket, and I love it. The deli is great, so is the pharmacy, and everyone at check out as well. There’s always someone to pack your groceries and they offer to help you to your car. This is the public I’m used to.”
