“The people that work there are the nicest! It's clean, the pumps are fast, and how out in the open the place is makes it feel safer. I prefer it over the other gas stations in the area.”

“Stopped in for a bit of gas, to use the restroom and to get drinks. The sweet young man behind the counter directed to the ladies room (it's a little tucked away). On our way in we noticed a room which housed various cat comfort items. We finished in the restroom, grabbed the last 2 cokes they had and went to check out. We asked about the cats, and the young man showed us his adorable cats! They were very sweet. Let us pet them for a moment, and we said our goodbyes!!”

“This place is the heart of our community! There’s always a friendly face to greet you by name. They’re legit a one-stop shop and have it all, except for tax services and a tanning booth”

“I stopped by this store/gas station for a quick gas and snack run. While the gas prices were a bit higher than I expected, the service inside the store made up for it. The staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. The cleanliness of the store was decent too, making it a reasonably pleasant stop. Overall, it's a good place for a quick pit stop.”

“If you're looking for a good, dependable gas station - you're in luck. They sell gas with convenient pump dispensers so you don't have to erect an oil rig and build a refinery just to get your little go-getter down the road. I will definitely return when I need a cold carbonated beverage, a roller grill hot dog, dangerously flammable go juice and happen to be nearby. Thanks, Love's, for a great business model! Seriously, it's a gas station. What do you want? Drinks are cold. Roller grill is hot. Pumps work. Cashier was really nice. Now, buy your stuff and get on down the road where you were going.”

“I miss the old Stuckeys, but this store is very nice. Bathrooms and store were clean. Coffee was fresh and good. Cashier was super nice! I wish I could remember her name, but check your schedule for who was working at 7 am on 11/28 and compliment her.”

The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.

With its funny billboard ads, award-winning clean bathrooms, and branded items Buc-ee’s is hard to miss. The company wants people to actually plan to stop at Buc-ee's during road trips, not just go there as a last resort. And it's working - the chain has a huge fan base, with Facebook groups dedicated to Buc-ee's having hundreds of thousands of members.

Read the postLove's Travel Stops is rolling out a new system that turns work into a game for its restaurant employees. Picture this: Three big screens in each restaurant, tracking how fast workers greet customers, take orders, and hand out food. It's not just for show - early results say it's making service 11 seconds faster on average. "These monitors track key performance metrics in real-time, such as greet times, order processing times and the time it takes for food handoff," Love's explains. The system creates a more interactive environment, fostering friendly competition between stores.
