“The venue is in a good location, quite intimate and welcoming. Ticket prices for just about every show it hosts are very affordable. It's family friendly, the atmosphere is nice and the service was great. My kids and I were there to see Supernova, an Oasis tribute band and if they return to the Soul Kitchen I highly recommend catching the show. They were phenomenal.”

“All the staff members we have encountered so far have been so kind and have great customer service! The room is great! We have a beautiful view of the water, the USS Alabama battleship and the USS United States until it leaves the port. The Amtrak station, The Perdido Queen, The convention center and The Maritime museum are right across from the hotel, too. In the room, the bed and sofa are both comfortable. The train decor is really neat! We had a great stay and hope to come again when we visit Mobile next time.”

“My husband and I chose this house to host our wedding reception, and it was an amazing decision! Victoria was wonderful to work with. She was very communicative and always happy to answer all of our questions. We loved choosing a historic downtown home because the charm was so quaint and special. The backyard was perfect for placing the DJ and bar, which created a great space for dancing, while we kept all the tables inside for dining. A huge bonus was that the house already came with all the tables and linens set up, which meant much less work for us and our event coordinator. We also got married during the Christmas season, and the house was decorated beautifully inside and out. It was absolutely gorgeous. The only small downside is that there’s just one restroom, so there were occasional lines, but that’s to be expected with a historic home. Overall, we couldn’t have been happier with this venue!”

“Clean and fresh. Well decorated, although I'm not sure why there was a full place setting at each table. Bar was ok, but the bartenders should pour drinks in front of each guest instead of with their back to them. (Not sure if the bartenders were part of the venue or from the group we were there with.)
Music was hella loud. To the point of being distorted and having some of us plugging our ears. Not sure if that was the guy they had singing or the venue.

“This building has some interesting history, the Scottish Rite Temple, now known as The Temple Downtown: an interesting architectural building in Mobile's skyline. It was originally built as a Grand Lodge in the early 1900s, this structure, inspired by the pyramids of Egypt, showcases elements from the Valley of the Kings. The massive doors at the entrance are very interesting, I would love to know where they are originally from. I didn’t go any farther than the front entrance, I’m curious to learn a little more about the building before I venture inside. This building was used as a Masonic Hall and it’s appearance and construction is similar to a pyramid. There are many unknown secrets connected to both of those elements, therefore, before I enter, I want to know more about what went on here before it became an entertainment venue. The four-star review is for the outer appearance of the building Only, I will possibly visit the inside after I’ve done more research about the Temple.”
“My kids love Pete's Party Castle, they have a good food menu with plenty of options, their play areas are great for all ages. I myself enjoy the arcade games in the front lol, always clean and friendly staff. We've also done several parties here and I highly recommend this place for a fun family outing.”

“Great place for used/new items. Most of the larger items are customer returns. The people who work there are great....only suggestion would be to make sure your item fully works before u leave. I just got a Samsung microwave that looked brand new ....plastic still on it...didn't take it fully out the box just plugged it up to make sure it came on and left. The door doesn't work properly?....also bought a fan that doesn't work....I live to far to return....again great company just make sure everything works. Not sure why these items are not checked ahead of time though. ? ?\\u200d♂️”

“Convenient location,but make sure ypu go to the right Holiday Inn,the 1st one you pass is not the one.the entry way for the right hotel has blue lights on it.the receptionist was very kind and efficient. The room is very clean,bedding fresh and crisp.fridge,microwave,tv,iron.only wished for a bathtub and not just a shower,bathroom also very clean.modern decor and appliances and plug ins.continental breakfast with many choices.do not base your decision on years old reviews,hotel is updated and very nice.”

This hotel was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, but what truly made our stay exceptional was the **absolutely amazing staff!** Every single employee we encountered was kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful.
From the front desk and cleaning staff to the manager, everyone greeted us with a smile and took the time to ask how our stay was going. That kind of personal attention really stood out and made us feel welcomed and appreciated.
And Nicole at the front desk deserves 10 stars! Her restaurant recommendations were fantastic and made finding a great place to eat so easy. She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
It’s rare to find a hotel where every employee seems genuinely happy to be there and happy to help, and it makes such a difference. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable stay with truly exceptional hospitality!

“My husband and I came all the way from Chicago to see the new Jimmy Buffett: Son of a Sailor exhibit, and it was absolutely amazing. From all of the information and personal items on display to the photos and videos, the entire experience was so beautifully put together.
There were so many moments that made us smile, and others that were incredibly touching. You can really feel the care that went into creating this exhibit and celebrating Jimmy Buffett’s life, music, and connection to the sea. It was truly a breathtaking experience and something we are so glad we made the trip to see.
If you’re a Jimmy Buffett fan—or even if you just appreciate a wonderful story and a beautifully done exhibit—I highly recommend seeing Son of a Sailor. It is absolutely worth the visit!”
