“Beautiful little shop. I was greeted by every employee . Every employee was busy with different tasks. I couldn't believe the customer service and the eagerness to assist. Everything in the store was breathtaking from perrienalls,annuals, containers, Christmas decorations and tropical plants. This is a really great place to visit for gifts and gardening. One employee even helped me back up into traffic by stopping cars. This is such a rare find. Great job guys !!!”

“Oak street is a wonderful local garden shop with very knowledgeable staff. They have a great variety of both indoor and outdoor plants, and are willing to help you find and order what ever special plant you are looking for. Prices are consistent with other local garden shops in the Birmingham area. The quality of plants are far better than what you would find in a box store. They also make custom live arrangements and make deliveries.”

“SOMETIMES I WET MY PLANTS! Though I am not a planter/gardener myself, I have always been infatuated with the idea of using plants as decor. Typically this is seen during the holidays, but it doesn't always have to be this way. After meeting with a friend for a coffee date at Caveat across the street, I decided to walk over to Sweet Pea Garden Shop to look around. I have never been here before so it was a delight to experience something out of the ordinary for me. Not only does Sweet Peas have a beautiful Greenhouse/Garden shop, but it also has a warm and welcoming gift shop. When I first entered the gift shop I felt I was walking into a not so typical holiday shop. They had everything from candles to salt and pepper shakers. Fake trees with some of the most unusual holiday ornaments as well as faux velvet deer heads to place on your wall/mantle. Though this is kind of tacky, I loved it and might go back to pick one up. Sweet Peas reminds me a lot of Shoppe/General located in Forrest Park. They have a lot of similarities. I'm sure if you are still looking for the perfect gift for a friend or loved one you would find one here. Doesn't matter the season. After falling in love with the gift shop, I decided to check out the green house, this greenhouse is a pretty decent size, not too big, yet not too small either. The aroma inside was absolutely beautiful as it hit my nostrils, fresh balsam for the season of course! The array of plants and flowers in this shop was immaculate. Any gardener/plant lover would have a blast looking around at all Sweet Peas has to offer. As previously mentioned, I am not a planter/gardener but I do have a friend who is. We have been around this area together in the past and she's had to hold herself back from coming inside knowing she could not contain herself from buying something. I purchased her a gift card and can't wait to come back to Sweet Peas with my friend to show her all of the beautiful decor, plants and everything this shop has to offer. I know she will love this place as much as I do.”

“I love the atmosphere here.... it's right next to Juniper and General. I purchased a pansy orchid that's almost ready to blossom and a few tulip & narcissus bulbs. Very friendly environment. I think you can also rent the greenhouse which looks phenomenal in other photos I've seen. “My experience at Hannah’s was amazing. I’m an out-of-state landscaper who was doing some last minute work for a hotel. They gave me great recommendations for local flora and were able to deliver my order straight to the hotel after making the order at 4:30 the previous day. All members were kind and very helpful and the plants looked great. I’ll never use Lowes or Home Depot after finding them, so happy to support local!”

“We came here looking for lawn mowers when ours literally fell apart. The selection was very minimal, so we didn't end up getting anything here. My daughter loved looking at the baby chickens and that was a great distraction! No one bothered to ask if we needed help, etc, so minus one star for that.”

I've had some issues with other HD in the area especially when ordering items online from them so I figure it's always better to shop in store. We walked around for a while. Looking at tools, light fixtures and other items. Honestly, HD is one of those stores you can walk around in and just look at all sorts of items and be entertained for a long period of time! “I seriously cannot explain how wonderful my experience at The Home Depot Hwy 280 was earlier this week. For the past few weeks my childhood dog has been fighting for his life, and what we all feared would happen reached it's fever pitch on Wednesday; We were advised to put him down as soon as possible. In the midst of freak sadness, I drove to The Home Depot determined to build a doggie casket - or, otherwise seen as, a simple wooden box. Walking through the doors, and back towards the lumber section, I quickly came to realize how little I knew about anything I was here to do. Which wood did I need? What hardware was necessary? Were my dimensions even right? I had no idea, so I just started wandering. Before I could stomach the thought that I should probably give up and just go home - I was approached by Austin S. Austin was incredibly nice and personable right off the bat, and quickly the conversation of my dogs soon-to-be passing came up. He showed me nothing but empathy and understanding. Without a second thought he dropped everything to help me not only finalize my dimensions, pick the best wood for the job, cut the lumber, and pick out hardware - BUT HE TOOK THE LEAD ON HELPING ME ASSEMBLE THE CASKET! It was service like I had truly never seen from an establishment, and I hope Home Depot never loses talent like Austin. To wrap up, he priced all the materials together and walked the fully built casket out to my car for loading. Thank you, Home Depot Hwy 280 - thanks to you my precious pet will be honored exactly the way I had hoped. This will never be forgotten!”

“Store 0881 the experience I had at this store is something to brag about. I saw on their online site that they carried this certain item, so I drove there to purchase it. I get there and asked a worker what I was looking for and showed him the picture on their site, he told me I had to order it and have it shipped. I left and as I was walking to my car, I saw another worker, who turned out to be a manager, we walked back in the store and looked up the product I was searching for. Well they had plenty in stock. Damion was the manager who helped means doe my troubles he gave me 10 bucks off the price.I get to the register to check out told the cashier what Damion said and she didn't question me not once. That Cashier's name was Alissa very polite lady. Had a nice conversation with me. Before I could finish my transaction Damion walked up to make sure I was properly taking care of.”
