“I recently had a cam phaser issue develop on my 2018 F-150 with approximately 91,000 miles.
The truck has been well maintained, and Long-Lewis Ford-Lincoln has handled its service throughout my ownership.
Because of the circumstances surrounding the repair, I contacted Ford Customer Service and opened a Goodwill Assistance case.
Long-Lewis took my case number, worked directly with Ford on my behalf, and did everything they could to help. Unfortunately, Ford corporate was unable to provide financial assistance.
That is where Long-Lewis stepped up.
Because of my long-standing relationship with the dealership, they reduced my repair cost by approximately one-third.
On a significant repair, that was meaningful assistance, and it was something they were not obligated to do.
Over the years, my family and I have purchased multiple Ford and Lincoln vehicles from Long-Lewis, along with extended warranties and maintenance plans. Experiences like this are exactly why we continue doing business with them.
It is easy for a dealership to take care of a customer when everything is going well. I think you learn much more about a business when there is a problem and they have an opportunity to help.
Long-Lewis listened, advocated for me with Ford, and when Ford couldn't assist, the dealership found a way to help on its own.
I sincerely appreciate what the Long-Lewis Ford-Lincoln Service Department did for me. They treated me like a long-term customer whose business and relationship mattered.
