“The service here is generally good. I’ve had a few experiences with rude workers they aren’t always welcoming or polite but they do provide the services I need. I’m able to pay my rent using money orders, purchase stamps, send off mail. and I’ve also been able to get passport applications for myself and my family, which is very convenient.”

“Today I had to do some checking on my mail service due to waiting for some important documents and haven't received any mail in a few day's and for me this isn't normal. So I took a trip to my local post office on lomb avenue in Birmingham to inquire about the issue. The staff was very helpful and professional the young lady we spoke with was Shanta and another young professional were doing all they could do to give us information we were needing. The service was great she advised us that she would be checking on our mail for the next days ahead and would directly contact us if she found the pieces of mail we were inquiring about. I also have to say that the main reason we were following up was we really really have a professional relationship with our current mail carrier. He's always very good at his job n his work. We have never had any issues regarding questions we ask mail being delivered on time and all of our deliveries. We so appreciate the opportunity to meet the staff inside of our local post office. We left feeling confident that we were being looked out for. So again Thank you entire staff at the post office on lomb avenue we appreciated the help. And to our current mail carrier thanks for all you do. You have spoiled us on 50th street.”
“The ladies at the window are always very nice and go above and beyond to help. My carrier is friendly and always very careful with my packages. While the hours could be better for those of us that work, I'll happily trade the benefits of small town life and actually knowing who my postal workers are over the inconvenience of limited hours.”
“I was just issued my very first passport and misplaced it 2 weeks after receiving it in the mail. Looked everywhere for it and could not find it. I went on The State Department website and reported it “lost”. Not even 30 minutes after filing for the “lost” passport, lo and behold I found it! But since I filed for it being lost, there was no undoing that and I had to come down here to this Post Office where a very sweet and helpful lady by the name of “Ms. Lewis” helped me out. She at first told me that I needed an appointment which I knew that before coming down here but after explaining to her what I do for a living and the reason that I had to immediately file for a new one since I’m about to be going out of the country for work purposes, she made an exception, helped me out and had a very pleasant attitude with me and was nice as could be. We chatted for a few minutes while I explained to her about what type of work that I did and why I needed the replacement with the upmost quickness. Thank you “Ms. Lewis” for being so kind and helpful to me! :). And if you are reading this, I told you that I would leave you a good review! :). Ms. Lewis should teach a class on “customer service” because she is well educated in that department and Uncle Sam needs to give this lady a raise!!! Come on Trump, hook this lady up!! :)! Thank you!!!”
“Long time convenient neighborhood location we do appreciate them hanging strong here. Our mail carrier is a super nice lady from 'round, and has been consistently an excellent representative of our federal government. She is to be emulated and comes from this post office; clearly her peers here shine too.”
“Huge shoutout to Arthur Bowen for being so kind, patient, & helpful! I went to 2 locations before this one to get my wedding invitations hand stamped, and was turned away. I was nervous it was going to happen again, but Arthur didn’t hesitate at all and hand stamped all of them for me. This was very appreciated and made me feel reassured that my invitations wouldn’t get lost or damaged. Thanks again Arthur, you are awesome!”
“It's been very rare that ive had to wait in long lines here. With that said, it does seem to get crowded if you try and go between 3-4. Have been going to this one for a long time and the staff is always great!”
“I've always had polite carriers and bought a larger mailbox so they can put packages inside mailbox to save walking up my long yard. I've had no problems with my mail deliveries. They are short handed at times, which leads to later night deliveries, but I get my mail.”
“How do you rate the USPS? At times mail takes excessively long to be received from when it was mailed and mail we send takes as long to reach the person it's being sent to. Personnel at the local po that we've used for 30+ years have always been courteous and helpful.”
