“For a “3 star” hotel it was 10/10. I’m traveling across country and needed a stop off i10. I got in late and the ladies at the front desk were friendly, helpful and quick.
- Room + bathroom were clean, hotel had recently been updated.
- Good number of towels in the bathroom.
- Black out curtains 9/10
- Bed and pillows are comfortable (two types of pillows offered on the bed)
- Rooms are pretty quiet to outside noise and hotel “traffic” (doors slamming, etc).
- great value
- felt safe and well lit parking lot”

“Room was fine. Bathroom wasn't clean and found several hairs in the shower. The air conditioner kept shutting off and you never get room service for clean towels unless you ask. They said on phone you get continental breakfast but you have to pay for it. Hot tub was nice but pool was filthy. If you want a indoor pool don't go there.”

“Absolutely perfect location for access off the interstate headed west bound. Easy to get in and out of. Great parking lot. Super cute hotel. Rooms are fine. We were staying here for a half marathon and could not have been better for the start/finish line. Sunrise out our window this morning was beautiful! 10/10 would stay again!”

“Its a very nice hotel. Fairly easy navigate. Pool is refreshing. Rooms are nice. Would have like a suite option, and a complimentary warm continental breakfast would be good. 25$ for a breakfast buffet is a little steep, but guests pay it for the convenience.”

“I'm relatively local to the area and decided to book this location to stay at following a Mardi Gras Ball due to its history.

Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Summer. The check-in process was smooth and she took care to make sure to give me any information that I might need as well as to give me a few tidbits of information about the hotel.

The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and unique. The antique furniture and hardwood floors completed the historic feel of the building. The mattress was very comfortable. We didn't notice any noise from either the outdoors or other rooms.

We will DEFINITELY use this hotel again for any local stays!”

“We had an issue figuring out the television, help came IMMEDIATELY after calling and figured it out, simple. We needed a microwave to make a bottle for the baby to sleep, it was in our room within MINUTES. Chris White at the front desk was SO HELPFUL, above and beyond. We are currently staying here so I hope the amazing service lasts our whole trip, I have no doubt at all that it will!”

“Where shall I begin- the sacred one hundred year old oak trees drapped with resurection ferns? The fainting goats? The ducklings? The lush silence of breathing in the pure air? Maybe the actual lodging where I wanted for nothing. Richly designed and decorated for comfort. We baked cookies for a reunion we were attending and everything we needed minus the ingredients were here in the delightfully supplied kitchen. I took my morning medatation and tea beneath the jasmine vines on the patio with the blue jays and kitty-rinsing away the stress of the world.Do visit Fairhope Farm and try the hand made goat soap. Mmmmmmm luxeryRegretably I have no photos for I was completely emerged in the present moment of utter peace, and the restoration of serenity.Thank you. Frances, you have created a temple here.”

“Front desk was super nice. Hotel room was clean with the exception of the bottom of the shower curtain having mold stains. The next morning woke up to luke warm water while taking a shower that never warmed up. Did not eat the breakfast as there is a Cracker Barrel across the street that we chose, however it did look like a full array of breakfast options on display when we walked by the kitchen area. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay.”

“Found my new favorite hotel. Enough said. ( I stay in too many hotels)

For those of you who need more:
Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was way to go for your standard hotel breakfast and the seating was the nicest I have ever seen in this price range. The elevator was really fast if a bit noisy. The hallways were clean and the carpet on my floor at least was spotless. Parking was free and easy to find a spot.

The room was oh so nice. CLEAN! (Except the couch which looked well used). The beds were so comfortable and so were the sheets and pillows. Great shower pressure and a very big bathroom for a hotel. Loved the fact that this was a studio so having a working kitchen and living room area separate from the bedroom was awesome. This hotel was less expensive than nearby standard room options and I am so happy that I chose this place. My goal is now to stay in one of these locations whenever they are a choice in the town I am in”

“We are on a cross country road trip and made a last minute reservation. We came in super late to a room that wasn’t ready. Myah was working the front desk, and she let us in to wait while she personally got a different room ready for us. She was so nice and helpful. Our room was great, breakfast in the morning was great, just an overall very nice and friendly experience. All of the staff are wonderfully personable and so sweet. They offered to refund us our room for our trouble when we checked out. Great hotel, great people.”

“I like big rooms and view in this hotel. It doesn't even matter which direction is your windows.
The only thing is that AC pretty smelly.
Not enough maintenance in time.”

“Stayed a couple nights and was very happy with my stay. Lobby and rooms were clean. Hotel staff were terrific! They changed my room to the bay side and waived my pet fee because I forgot to mention I needed it on a different credit card when I checked in. The location is great and the view is beautiful at sunset! I will definitely be staying here again and recommending to others. Pet friendly!! ?❤️”

“Beautiful two bedroom nice location. It is four blocks from the train station. It also about six blocks from the cruise terminal. Beds were very comfortable, it had a full size refrigerator, microwave, mini burners. Coffee machine, nice size TV, Recliner was a rocker also. It was worth the money. The staff was very nice.”

“Not sure what makes a hotel a 5 star but this is right up there. I’ve been traveling here for work more frequently and always stay at the admiral. Ever since the remodel, this place looks like 5 stars. The room and staff are amazing. Rooms are always clean. Never had any issues. Definitely recommend.”

“We were pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was. Super clean, huge room, great service, and hot breakfast. This hotel was conveniently located close to the interstate and offered a great selection of restaurants near by and many deliverable options. Lots of shopping options as well. The pool was nice and clean and the hot tub was a plus. Will definitely stay here again.”

“Honest Review: To preface, I’m a woman in my young thirties traveling alone. Some of these comments on this motel were from almost a decade ago. I felt like this place could use an updated review of the experience I had, which may NOT be what other people experience. This one was mine.

Key points: I enjoyed the attentive and polite staff, and I was not bothered by unexpected cleaners or other guests. My parking space is immediately outside my door. The Waffle House (24 hours) is 20 feet away. There were ZERO bugs, and it is currently July as I write this. The updated furniture and furnishings add to feeling like I’m in a place that is cared for to some degree. The water pressure is awesome. Mini fridge and microwave! The location is super. I was able to book and pay online and there was no hassle checking in nor checking out, and was given the receipt upon check in. I was ALSO given the option that if I did not like my room, I can be transferred to another upon inspection! I did not detect any strange odors other than some stale cigarette smell. The toilet was clean with no rust stains. The sheets and towels were clean (inexpensive however. But what else would you expect?). There is no carpet! That is a huge help to keep the floors clean in between guests. There were children staying here as well, so I would imagine that it is not as seedy as you might think. The blackout curtains do actually cover the entire window, and there are nice blockers on the sides for privacy and light. There is a FULL length mirror in the room! That was a nice surprise for getting ready to go out for the day. Air conditioning in hot July! Such a relief to turn it on when coning back for the night and how quickly it changes the temperature in the room, even chilly if you blast it.

Things that I think *should* be overlooked/considered but I think might irk people: my key card at the end of the night would stop working. However, even during after hours, the overnight staff were quick to fix the issue so I could get to my room. Most nicer hotels I’ve stayed at have had the same key card issue, and I wouldn’t rate a hotel any less because of it. The nooks and crannies of the room are not clean, however I wiped the all of the surfaces with a wet wipe and it was not dirty at all, the cloth was clean. The paint is chipped and peeling. There are some mystery stains on curtains and the walls, but I am not here to lick curtains and walls. I feel this purely a cosmetic thing, and for how affordable this place is ($200 for 3 nights), I absolutely do not care about paint on the wall.

I feel that even in nice hotels, there are things that are a given when traveling. Such as wearing shower shoes; don’t walk around barefoot (warts and diseases). Bring your own pillow case. Cover the remotes in a clear plastic bag. I use the ones disposable cups are in. Insider Edition did an exposé on how filthy remotes and other things are at highly rated hotels. I don’t even take chances there. In addition to all of these things that I bring in a *personal bag* when flying, I have a Velcro strap that I wrap about the deadbolt using tension to keep it locked, even when the handle is turned. I slept very well. I felt safe. It’s just a room to sleep in for the night. And it was incredibly affordable for everything that you do get with your stay.”
