“I am a Mexican-American born and raised in L.A. going to weddings, baptisms, quinceañeras every other weekend. I moved to Illinois 15 years ago and have struggled to find a Mexican restaurant that embodies my Mexican roots. We went to Gulf Shores for spring break and on our way back to Illinois we got hungry so we stopped here and hit the jack pot. The restaurant itself is alive and full of personality. It's like walking into a coco or book of life inspired room. I ordered the carnitas, with frijoles charros and rice and it's like eating at one of the many parties I grew up going to. Other than missing the bolillo. The carnitas were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. My husband ordered the Chiles Poblanos and left a happy plate. The kids loved the food too! The drinks were good, but the food was the best part of our dining experience! If we're ever this way again, we'll definitely stop by for another meal.”
“The mcds here got the steak egg and cheese bagel wrong. How do you mess that up? I wouldn't recommend getting that if your like me and get it every chance you get, get it at a different location. Btw the bagel was hard, the steak wasn't seasoned well, not enough onions and the cheese wasn't melted.”

“Always friendly faces at the V & W Food Mart. They have lunch specials in a good little cafeteria setup in the rear of the store and they have a good home cooking Monday through Friday but you have to get there between 11:30 and 12:30. This is a typical food mart with beverages, food, bread and milk along with a clean safe environment that many families enjoy when they stop by. The gas prices are very competitive and they have clean restrooms.”
