Alaska Tire & Rim has been assisting drivers in Anchorage, Wasilla, and Eagle River, Alaska, as well as surrounding areas, with their automotive repairs and tire purchases since 1996. When the current owners, Mike and Jessica Fox, took over the business nearly 10 years ago, they brought over 25 years of experience and made it their mission to help customers make safe, economical decisions for their automotive needs. While one customer found Alaska Tire & Rim to be the most expensive place in town for an 18-inch tire changeover at $120, others were pleasantly surprised by the affordable pricing and quality of service. The staff was described as friendly, with one customer receiving a discount for being a veteran. Free installation is provided if customers purchase their tires from the shop. Some reviews noted the knowledgeable staff and helpful nature of the business, though one customer was disappointed that they no longer carried the used tire inventory they once did. This customer plans to return, but will first look for other suitable alternatives. Overall, Alaska Tire & Rim is praised for its reliable service, fair pricing, and accommodating staff, making it a go-to destination for many local drivers' tire and automotive needs.
Been coming here over 20 years(yes 20!) The prices are reasonable the work is first rate, the tires cost less here than the big stores,no flashy advertising =less cost. The best part is the price to change tires over! Is fantastic πππ Have to make appointment to get in but totally worth itπ

The owner gave me good advice etc regarding my Subaru summer tires. They reached the end of their 7 year life. So he is disposing of them but bought 4 rims from me for $50. It's better to determine this info b4 heading down through Canada.

Great experience! Called in inquiring about all-season tires. Was told they had a set and would be able to get me in the next morning for a swap and disposal of old tires. Great deal and took about an hour. Made the process seamless and quick. Thanks so much!
