“Very real and honest people. Dexter was very patient and understanding at helping me when I’m super unfamiliar with cars. My first trip was unfortunately for an oil leak that ended up damaging majority of the car, making it unsafe to drive, but he was very professional and kind at explaining what my options were. Second trip was for a pre purchase inspection and was very pleased that he gave his honest and professional opinion and helped me from getting scammed from an overpriced Subaru and that he “couldn’t in good conscious” let me continue. Will definitely be recommending this place for Subarus and Toyotas.”
“I’ve been going here for years now. Owners and staff are amazing and super knowledgeable and very transparent. I’ve always had good experiences and they even put in taillights I bought for free one day, and even helped me with a seatbelt issue.
And one day the owner rode around with me in the passenger seat to listen to a weird noise my truck was making.
The place I’d taken it to before was FATS. I had horrible experience there, one of which they ruined my truck, admitted to it, saying it was a new guy they’d hired that did it and then fired him. But they still made me pay. I’ll never go back to fats. Sand lake auto has my business, they are great!!”

“yesterday my daughter's minivan wouldn't start. Contacted Jason. He said to jump start the vehicle and then bring it over to him. He within a few minutes determined that the alternator was good and the battery was bad. We quickly got a new battery and staff installed the new battery for us. “We have gone to FATS for decades and have always been happy with their expert car mechanical evaluations, intergrity, breath of knowledge, expertise and customer service. On our last visit, we came to have brake pads replaced that another shop had said needed replacement, they found them to be fine. They did an excellent evaluation of rear noise, checking it carefully. We take all of our foreign and domestic cars and trust their good work! Would like to add a 6th star! Highly recommend!”

He has even fixed issues I have had when taking my jeep to others because I couldn't get in with him on my timeline. Now the work...
I bought RV new and factory settings were wrong. Two shops did alignments in BC, Lower Mainland and never fixed anything.
Vehicle ride now is FANTASTIC! Featherlight steering and no rear end wobble. For all the information, time, work and effort price was low! I would make another trip to Alaska Springs from Vancouver just to get alignment done!
