“I just wanted to share my recent trip to your store at 5th Ave Mall in Anchorage Alaska. Your sales associate, Kaitlyn was wonderful. I was shopping last minute for a trip out of town and she was on top of it, helping me size jeans and tops and shoes to match. I didn’t realize that I came in 10 minutes to close, but these ladies treated me like time wasn’t an issue. I felt bad so I hurried and was out 15 after close. We even had a laugh how my bill ended up being $444.44. I just hope she’s acknowledged for her exemplary service and wanted to thank her again. Lastly, I haven’t bought jeans in years and the ones she picked out are amazing.”

“Eddie Bauer, my new favorite store! Located on the 1st floor of the 5th Ave Mall, this place is early 2000's nostalgia for me. THIS, is what REI Anchorage used to look like. Jackets/coats galore - and in all sizes. Eddie B. also had a ton of sales going on, up to 70%! Workers were welcoming and efficient. Gave you the space to explore but were readily available for questions. I can't wait to return.”

“I tried on some of the new sun dresses *March 2022*, ended up leaving with one. There were two employees and they were the nicest people, definitely contributed to a positive experience even if it was "their job". One of them just had received a promotion. I see why. “I visited late about an hour and half before close and was kindly greeted and offered assistance, but also given space to try to fit my wide feet and husky ankles in some shoes to try on. I tried on about 20 pair and found 2 finally since it was buy one get one half off. Jackie and Mai were outstanding. Their customer service and their aura was so purely amazing. I have social anxiety and they made me feel extremely comfortable. I wish they were working everywhere I had to go publicly ? I may just come to look around once in awhile try some shoes on just for their good vibes and to share some positivity back to them. Best experience ever!”

“Anchorage needs about 10 more shops like this!This is a place to shop for local, "Alaska-stuff" for...people that already live in Alaska. Or, alternatively, a great place to take your visiting friends that are more into local culture/flavor that paying someone hundreds of dollars to walk on a glacier and take cheesy photos. (that will inevitably end up on Tinder)This place mainly features local graphic design on all sorts of things, but mainly cozy apparel.If you've seen that famous graphic of two ravens on a dumpster with a reference to Spenard: it came from here!They also have hoodie with the coolest-looking Flattop render on them I have ever seen!They also carry Uncle Leroy's coffee! (RIP, physical locations *sadface*)My only complaint: I wish there even MORE local art designs. What they have is great, just needs more variety!”

“This Footlocker is conveniently located on the 1st floor of the 5th Ave Mall. Workers are always friendly and helpful. Clothing sales and shoe options rotate frequently. We are able to find our sizes more than half the time we visit. Recently, due to not having a size we needed for an exchange, we had to request a refund. Luckily, it was quick and easy.”

“I agree with fellow elite Yelper: Joy. This Old Navy is the for the kids...and men. The women's section is still pretty non-existent. Employees are a hit or miss. My last visit, I was up to my ears in toddler clothes and didn't notice the carts when we first walked in. An employee kindly went to retrieve one for me. I thought that was nice. But these experiences are far and few between. I am always able to find quality items for my spouse, pre-teen(s), and toddler, so that would be the sole reason I've given this Old Navy location, the rating I have.”

“Greeted right away, employee offered to help me find what I was looking for, searched inventory for me and even suggested other things I might be interested in. I returned a few days later and the employee remembered me, and again, she provided what I consider to be excellent customer service. I wish I could remember her name. Great for very unique and affordable necklaces and rings, pendants etc - outside of their many other cultural items... I bought two ankhs; one large and one small (and nicely detailed), along with a 24" chain - which was suggested to me. 10/10 if you're looking for something DIFFERENT; highly recommended by me! ?”

“I took my 13 year old into the Dimond Center Footlocker around 8:15 on a Wednesday evening. I very friendly and knowledgeable young man named Castell helped us even though it was close to closing time and I'm sure he was ready to go home. The store was out of what my daughter had in mind however he showed her several like pairs of shoes and she found something she was really happy with. I was super impressed with his level of effort. I realized after left he had helped us before. A older lady with short gray hair snapped at him in a unprofessional manner. I wish I had said something to her then. I really hope this lady isn't getting away with degrading employees. The young adults/kids that work there deserve respect and I hope they know they have rights as employees to be treated professionally.”

“I feel bad that I didn't get their names, and I forgot to look at the recipe before throwing it out. The two gentlemen I dealt with were amazing and super patient. I am a larger guy, so it can be hard to find the sizes I need. When I do find the right size, the selection tends to be on the slim side. The two individuals not only helped me find a complimenting shirt and pants, but they also took my concerns over budget into consideration. I hope all the associates in this store are like the two who helped me! Will definitely use the Men's Wearhouse again!”
