The Sheraton Anchorage Hotel is located right in downtown Anchorage, within minutes of local businesses, restaurants, and gift shops. It is a walkable end-of-downtown location. The hotel is not new and shows its age in some areas, with bathrooms feeling a bit dated. However, the rooms are very nice, clean, and pretty renovated, with great views of the city or Merrill Field airport. Some rooms are spacious suites. The lobby has a retro feel. The staff is noted as the nicest. There is a nice, relaxing lounge and a spacious gym with an awesome view. Breakfast is considered expensive. Some minor maintenance issues were noted.
They were doing renovations while we were there, but only the parking was affected. Be aware that all parking in downtown Anchorage is paid, including this hotel.

I just would like to thank Kenny from maintenance for fixing my television and also addressing other issues in the room. Kenny was extremely polite introduced himself before entering the room and fixed the issue right away. He made my stay much more enjoyable.

Kenny did a great job on fixing the safe in our room. He’s one of the engineers here he was very professional.
