“I have been a Carrs Wasilla customer since 1990. A lot has changed in the Mat-Su Valley over all that time. Just look at the traffic, as well as grocery options.Generally, I will say that grocery shopping at the Carrs Wasilla is on the expensive side, unless you happen to catch items on sale.That said, I think the best value at Carrs Wasilla is their Chinese take-out from the deli department. Now, I have had Chinese food in Hong Kong, Chinatown in San Francisco, and elsewhere. If you are expecting a comparable product, you will likely be disappointed.However, if your frame of reference is Chinese food in the Mat-Su Valley, Carrs Wasilla is the place to go. The value for the money is incomparable.The best time to go is around noon to slightly after and just before or around 4:00 PM. These will be your best times for broadest selections.I typically order the Shanghai Special, which is enough to feed me as a single person for almost an entire week. From time to time, Carrs Wasilla also has a special going, typically on Fridays, which can offer even greater value.If you have a hankering for Chinese food and don't feel like preparing it yourself, Carrs Wasilla is the place to go.”

“This is the place to go for items that are hard to find and they have a wide assortment of items. Hard/cold food prepared to go, drinks Alcohol/non-alcohol, groceries to include large items, fresh produce, fruit and meat, OTC meds, guns, sporting goods, animal feeds, toys and gifts, clothing outdoor gear/wear, trapping, hunting and fishing gear, generators and UTV/ATV equipment. I know I can’t remember everything but this is a smaller version of the “Big Box Store” and have many items you would find in Costco. Vehicle fuels and Propane. Garden and canning products, a Deli.They are an excellent place to shop and have friendly and helpful staff. I recommend them highly. Ample parking”

“This is a conveniently located gas station, that has a coveted outhouse restroom, and small attached liquor store. Has nice availability of drinks and snacks inside as well. With a coffee shack strategically placed in the corner of the lot.”

“Depending on what you need. I really like Three Bears @ Pittman and Parks. I don't buy chicken there, I've gotten bad chicken almost every time. But, when I do, they are always very friendly when I bring it back. This happened many years ago, so hopefully, it doesn't happen any longer. I still do most of my bulk shopping there. Clean store, friendly and helpful workers. Best place for all my needs.”

“Nice clean store that is well stocked and has surprisingly good vegan cupcakes that you cannot get in Anchorage. Like, wha? Being in Wasilla you do pay for the sales tax, but if you're heading to Valdez this is a good option for road snackies. Will come again.”

“[DISCLAIMER: THIS IS SOLELY THE OPINION OF THE AUTHOR AND ANYONE WHO GETS THEIR LITTLE FEELERS HURT SHOULD MOOOVE ONNNN! GO RAIDERS!!] Rating 4/5 theres always room for improvement, am I right?!!? Regardless, I was genuinely impressed by their smorgasbord of ice cream cakes & vast flavor variety; even if ICC's aren't your jam, you'll probably cast those aforementioned feelings aside. PLUS, if you can't afford (or are just morally against) paying ~$40 for ONE smaller-medium sized, albeit delicious, ICC....they've got SINGLE servings!!! Lastly, I'm almost positive their chocolate chip muffins are infused with some kind of sodium bicarb cocktail, or advertising has brainwashed me & it's just a non-narcotic placebo. Lab results ARE pending, unfortunately until then... can't stop, WON'T stop, chain scarfing these freaking muffins!!!!! #SORRYNOTSORRY”

“I like this grocery store but I just feel overwhelmed with all the stores surrounding it. There is just so much going on and I get easily sidetracked with all the other merchandise nearby. If you are in a rush and just want a few things, better off going to CARRS or Walmart. This place can easily suck 1.5 hours of your time perusing the aisle. Other than that, their produce is good quality. Do not come here on Fridays, Holidays or weekends. It gets pretty busy.”

Kid had to use restroom in back of store - Locations inside were clean - location was busy and crowded Prices are Walmart prices and lots of clearance items as well. Checking out was busy - as expected- but in and out with self checkout Walmarts are big and crowded. That's for the selection and prices. Many clearance items we purchased Solid 4 -”

“Had their freshly baked bread today and it was wonderful. Very fluffy, great chewy crust, good subtle flavor. The bulk candy was fun to shop from too. Good selection of kvass, which I had never tried before. I went today and already want to go back. ☺️”
