Dylan explained everything so well and the reasons why they use certain products or techniques. I have been learning for quite some time about all the different and sometimes competing approaches to epoxy table making and I wanted to learn from the best and Black Forest certainly is. βWe had two bathrooms renovated by Contemporary, in Jun/24 and Aug/24. All of the workmen were professional and cleaned up immaculately at the end of each day. The two jobs each took a little longer than anticipated but not unreasonably longer, maybe another week or two. There were shipment delays that they had to contend with which delayed the work. During the first year, the few issues we had were immediately rectified to our satisfaction. We are very happy with our new bathrooms!β

On a brutally cold and snowy day, I suddenly had a major problem with the main door of my coffee shop. A customer somehow pulled the handle right out, leaving me with a door that technically worked but had no handle and a missing screw. Not ideal when you are running a business, and definitely not something you want to deal with in the middle of winter.
I knew the hardware originally came from Banbury Lane, so I brought the handles and the one remaining screw with me, not even knowing if anything could be done. I was not there to buy anything, just hoping for advice.
That is when I met Neila.
She was absolutely exceptional. She spent well over half an hour with me, carefully examining the hardware, searching for the correct screw, and thinking through solutions. She explained everything clearly, showed me how to fix the handle properly, and even recommended using a Loctite-type product because the door itself had some wear that made the repair tricky.
What truly stood out is that she did all of this without charging me a cent. Just genuine care, expertise, and a real desire to help.
Thanks to Neila, I was able to fix the door the same day and keep my business running without having to call a repair company or wait on my landlord.
Banbury Lane is known for being high-end, beautiful, and top of the line, but service like this is what truly makes a place exceptional. After this experience, I honestly know that when the time comes for my next house, this is exactly where I will go, and Neila is the person I will want to work with.

βA no nonsense, out of the way but accessible speciality hardware store. Particularly good for high quality door and cabinet handles, pulls, etc that you don't find at the big box stores. Gord is very knowledgeable, helpful and easy to deal with. Special orders are easy to do.β

βAce Mats are by far the best rug company in Calgary. I clean with my custodial brand interior of buildings, Glass Castle Services and here is what I love about this company. 1. They reply fast on any stains or issues that come up on the rugs as the buildings I clean are high traffic 2. The rugs are large, dark and beautiful all the time, making my brand look just as good. 3. They come often enough so the mats always look clean and fresh. I take pride in my cleaning business and it is great working with vendors who also have great products and services.β

βI've shopped at this location often for more than a decade. This review is specifically for Rob who helped us out in plumbing. I told him I didn't know a thing about Pex and he helped me to understand what I needed. He shared his thoughts on the various options and led me to an answer without any judgement of my lack if knowledge. Rob is in a wheelchair, but that didn't stop him from being one of the most helpful employees I've ever dealt with. He has a great sense of humor also, he had us (serving multiple customers at the same time) rolling in the isles.β

One time they had to send a tool to Edmonton for repair, as Milwaukee wanted to see the tool for themselves to confirm warranty coverage, Industrial communicated all information clearly over the phone, and Milwaukee decided to replace the entire tool instead of repairing the old one.β

βIβve been going to Calgary Fasteners for a while now and itβs honestly one of my favorite places for tools, nuts, bolts, and all the little things I need for DIY projects at home. Every time I walk in, the staff are helpful and actually take the time to point me in the right direction.
Their selection is huge way better than what youβll find at the big box stores and they usually have exactly the odd piece or part Iβm looking for. Prices are fair, and the quality of what Iβve bought here has been solid.
If youβre into home repairs or just like having the right tool for the job, this place is a gem in Calgary. Highly recommend. Very friendly guysβ

βWell stocked, organized and has more helping hands on the floor than other similar stories which is great. There was no line-up to get in at the time I went in which is a plus these days.Also, I noticed some items cheaper than at other stores (ex. Small blue propane cans, mower tractor motor oil, ... Almost by 10%)My experience using the washrooms by the garden center was quite interesting though. After flushing the toilet backed up. There was a plunger next to the toilet seat which was convenient but also shows that the store was aware of this problem.I went to wash my hands and the faucet cold tap hand was laying on the sink beside the faucet and the hot tap had no water.I used another skink which worked but the whole faucet was quite loose.Kinda funny because everything they need to fix it is right there on the shelves outside.β
