The Home Depot in Strathcona is a business known for having helpful and knowledgeable staff who go above and beyond to assist customers. Many reviews highlight the exceptional customer service provided by employees such as Samuel, Holly, Ali, Diana, Marlene, and Marianne. These staff members are praised for their kindness, patience, and willingness to help with everything from shaping materials and selecting plants to finding hard-to-locate flooring and helping with holiday decorations. Customers appreciate their dedication and often mention that these employees make a positive difference in their shopping experience. The store also has a key cutting service that receives high marks for friendly and efficient service. However, some concerns are raised about the shopping environment. Customers find the parking lot currently messy due to construction and criticize the limited number of cashiers, especially with the introduction of “assisted” checkout stations. Many feel that being watched over while checking out is irritating, and they suggest hiring more staff or security personnel rather than hovering staff. The importance of the last customer interaction being positive is emphasized, with a belief that friendly cashiers can leave customers with a good impression and encourage return visits. Overall, while the staff's helpfulness and knowledge are highly valued, there are calls for improvements in store management, checkout procedures, and store cleanliness to enhance the overall shopping experience. Despite some frustrations, the store’s friendly employees and good service make it a place where customers feel well taken care of.
Pretty good considering some other locations don't have enough staffs and not enough training resources. The lighting vault be little brighter .

Customer service was a bit lacking, I know it's a DIY place but we stood checking out keyless locks for about 30 minutes and no one asked if we needed help.
