They've saved me a ton of money by not doing work that was not necessary, but they could have just said it needed it and charged me for it. If they say it needs something it needs it! There not going to steer you wrong. I completely trust what they say which is very rare these days! Last time my wife's van was in he told me Kia had a service bulletin for a oil leak. Arranged service with Kia took it to there himself to the dealership, then picked it up himself and brought it back. NOW THAT'S SERVICE!”

“If I. Could give a 11. I would. My car is a standard. It wasn't accelerating past second gear. I asked a guy a know another mechanic who referred me to Alberta transmission. He was booked all up. A d couldn't get me I until after the holidays. I checked around. But didn't like tbe mixed reviews on other businesses so I decided to wait for three weeks to get it to Alberta transmission. It was December 13 when it stopped working. So I got it checked January first week. Alberta transmission said it's good Leanne. Error code just shows. It was frozen. It's all good. Working fine. No cost. I was so blessed to be referred here. What a rare wonderful business. So honest. Blessings to them. as to why they are in business so long. I tell everyone I know. About their honest and great at what they do.”

“Hats off to this shop! Took my vehicle in to this shop for the first time. Had a slight vibration at highway speeds. Because my tires are basically new (from another shop) I was confused why it would be vibrating. Wanted a shop with the Road Force balancing device. However, my van was returned to me a short time later and driving like brand new using only the traditional balance method which is cheaper than Road Force. I love this level of service and integrity not unnecessarily over charging me. I have 4 vehicles in our household and You will see me next tire service. Thank you!”

“I took my vehicle to Mister Transmission to obtain a second opinion for a repair that Subaru City diagnosed (valve body replacement).
Mister Transmission got me in for diagnosis as soon as I walked in the door. Their Shop Forman helped me out and took the vehicle for a road test and scanned for any codes and ended up diagnosing it with a totally different issue. He asked what Subaru City diagnosed and I told him CVT valve body replacement. He told me that wasn’t the issue and took the time to explain why the valve body replacement would not address the root cause of the issue. He explained that the actual repair required would be closer to $10k and was not worth the cost of the repair based on the mileage and age of my car.
I really appreciate Mister Transmissions experience knowledge and honesty.
It’s important to mention that the Subaru techs could not diagnose the issue in shop and had to send their findings to an online Subaru portal to obtain the diagnosis and I had to wait nearly 2 weeks for their diagnosis which was clearly incorrect and they charged me $190 to make an incorrect diagnosis.
Mister Transmission, who are transmission specialists, were able to diagnose the issue in 10min with no cost to me.
I recommend that everyone with transmission issues take their vehicles to Edmonton's Mister Transmission!”
“Last year when my 2020 transmission broke down the 1st day I drove it away from the Ford dealership after purchasing it, they got right on it and sent it to Lo cost transmission. They claimed I got a rebuilt tranny and off I went. It didn't last 6 months. Under my purchased 3rd party warranty company, I had a Dodge dealership handle it. They said Jasper Auto Parts would supply the tranny. I went over everybody's head and demanded a rebuilt transmission from Can West because I had called around and they were best in town. They were $400 cheaper too.
When my 1982 g20 van broke down recently, I needed to take it to someone who knew transmissions. Can West to the rescue 🚑 They rebuilt my turbo 350 and explained what was wrong. Great price, great service, knowledgeable people, and a transferable warranty! I trust these guys.”
“I have an older vehicle with low mileage that I am nursing along. Each time I go in, counter staff patiently outline what should be done, and what can wait. They listen carefully to me and I repeat it back so I can be sure I understand. We kid around a bit, and then they deliver service efficiently. Sometimes, they do that little extra thing that is just beyond what I know about. It's a CAA-approved place, local, and I feel taken care of by a good team who likes to have fun together. Recommend.”
