“Challenging to get to this location due to the crazy freeway system and insane drivers here in Phoenix! Finally navigated my way in for a rest from my cross country trip, I'll be back!”

“I have not had the privilege of staying at Windmill, however, I am in charge of booking our company Executives for their retreat and had the most pleasant experience working with Jessica at the front desk! She was very friendly and informative and I am so excited for my team to experience her lovely front desk service!”

“A great place to stay if you're here on vacation for any purposes. My family and I stayed in a suite. It had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, and a kitchen. The kitchen had everything stocked from utensils, pots/pans, other kitchen necessities, to paper towels, rag towels, and dish soap. It felt like we were staying in Airbnb for hotels. The staff was nice. A couple of my sisters and I went hiking in the morning to see the sunrise so we didn't get to experience the morning buffet hours. But we did get some food from our other family members they took for us from the morning breakfast. The waffles were great with the butter and honey. We explored the hotel at night and it was fun. They have a pool, gym, and laundry area all in the first floor. Everything is accessed by your room key.We didn't get to enjoy the pool or hot tub but the view of them were amazing. They have such a cute outdoor campfire areas with tables and chairs by the pool area. It was so beautiful. The negative was the wifi and pull out bed from the couch. It's not that great and it didn't let me get on so I had to use my data the entire time. So boo to that. The pool out bed was decent and good enough to sleep on but definitely not too sturdy, a bit flimsy.Definitely recommend coming to this hotel. I would definitely come back here if I do end up back in the area again. The place is surrounded by many shopping areas as well as restaurants, cafes, recreational activities, and other scenic places as well. It's very close the state farm stadium if you ever want to go watch any football games.”

“Beautiful, clean, spacious room. Nice view...After leaving, I got a call from the hotel to let me know that I left behind a USB cable. I explained I was already miles away. They offered to mail it to me. Now that's great customer service!”

“I recently stayed at the **Holiday Inn Express & Suites Glendale Downtown** and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is conveniently located near attractions like the **Westgate City Center**, **Gila River Arena**, and **State Farm Stadium**. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and feature a 50-inch LCD flat-screen television. The plush, triple-sheeted bedding ensured a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the bilingual service in both English and Spanish. The complimentary **Express Start Breakfast** was a great way to kickstart my day, offering a variety of favorites. Additionally, the free high-speed internet access kept me connected during my stay.Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, I highly recommend the **Holiday Inn Express & Suites Glendale Downtown**. It's an excellent choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and top-notch amenities.”

“Perfectly located hotel in the middle of Surprise. Plenty of places nearby for meals. Very comfortable beds. Plenty of channels.Showers are decent. The only downside might be the free breakfast. If you see them offering a cheese omelette, just leave it there. You could play hockey with it. Absolutely inedible.”

“We stayed here as part of a promotional package that we got from Bass Pro Shops. It was definitely worth it! We had to pay $150, I think, and we got it all back at the timeshare presentation. The one room unit was very nice, and the service was good; whenever we needed something, like a pack n play crib or extra sheets, they delivered it. There is a free coffee drinks machine in the lobby every morning. The place runs plenty of free activities throughout the day, like the ones that we attended during our stay were rock painting, a bounce house, and a s'mores night. There's also adult activities, like a karaoke night at the bar. Some of the activities cost money, but they were supposed to have a $ beside them on the activity calendar. They must have made a mistake with the s'mores night, though, because there was no dollar sign on it, but turns out it cost $3 per person. The lady running it was very nice though and only charged some of our family instead of all of us,. We enjoyed the property, with horses across the street, a nice big pool with water slides, lawn games, tennis court, etc. For families with kids, we recommend going out to the Maricopa live steamers train on Sundays, and also enjoying Lake Pleasant Regional Park for hiking trails, the Scorpion Bay Grill, or even the occasional stargazing night on their activities calendar.”

“Any facility with a full kitchen is for me. While vacationing I like to stay away from the busy areas, and this was perfect. The area is under construction, but it's quiet and no traffic delays. It's up the street from the interstate, which is also a plus. The hotel was nice, bright, and clean. The free breakfast was good and they had a variety of choices. Each day was a different breakfast sandwich. The staff was very friendly. However, housekeeping needs to do a better job making beds and removing the trash. We had to request that the trash be taken out. That should never be a request in a facility with full kitchens in every room.Rooms: Love the rooms. Very clean and comfy.Safety: The police were in the area at all times, due to construction.Walkability: Not walkable.Food & drinks: The closets thing to food/drinks outside of the hotel’s free breakfast is a Starbucks and a gas station up the street.”

“So the joint is nice enough. Clean rooms with a small usable kitchen. I am on the road a lot and typically Marriott properties are my brand of choice. I had only two minor issues with this property.1. It is 2023 the room did not have USB charging ports anywhere in the room to charge phone or other accessories like all the other Marriott properties I have stayed at recently.2. When they say breakfast ends at nine that is code for "it ends at 8:35 or when the food runs out and we don't feel like putting any more out." This is the only Marriott property that I have had this experience at. If the food runs out a half hour before closing.....That is it. No more food. Kitchen has a hard stop at nine. Doors closed. They are done. It does not matter if it is a weekday or a weekend. Never in all my time staying at a Marriott property have ever experienced this. Normally food is served right up until the end of the hour. Then if their are folks still in the dining room there is a courtesy call to let folks know the kitchen is closing and to top off any plates before it closes, and depending on the crowd they have a soft close. Not here. ALLLLL business. The sign says 9am THEY MEAN 9AM.SO if you want breakfast come down before 8:30am or run the risk of not getting any. Defiantly get down before 9.Never have I stayed in a "2 star" Marriott and was made to actually feel like it was two star service.Other than those two issues. Honestly I rate it 4 out of 5. Would have 5 out of 5 if we has the USB charging ports in room and if breakfast was not an issue.Safety: After hours you need a card key to enter the building”

“I'm not sure why they put my mother who was using a cane at the far end of the hall.Food & drinks: The food in their Market was expensive. Breakfast was kind of blah and lukewarm at best.”

“Great overall. Only complaint is the smoke detector also detects steam from showers which makes a pretty alarming wake up call for the husband at 5 am ? Could also be a bit cheaper considering the surrounding area and them being pretty simple rooms.”

“I like the look of the resort, really works for the location. Like the way suite is laid out, but the furniture seems chosen based on looks as it is not good quality. Overall we enjoyed our stay.”

“Rooms: Excellent cleanliness of our room. Soft beds and a pillow menu. Perfect. Quiet and efficient thermostat. Fridge and microwave. Accommodating staff brought us another chair for our desk so the two of us could each have one. We would stay here again.Walkability: Cracker Barrel restaurant Nextdoor. A convenient store within walking distance of the hotel also that has deli sandwiches and salads.Food & drinks: Hotels breakfast is perfect. Fresh choices for all appetites. Omelets, scrambled eggs, sausages, Cinnabon rolls, muffins, bagels, fresh fruit, cold and hot cereals with toppings, yogurts, juices and coffee and more.Noteworthy details: Near the freeway for ease of transportation, but still quiet. Close to a car wash, Target, fast foods, restaurants, and all types of needs.”

“This hotel is great the rooms are clean and the staff are nice. The hotel in an awesome location, the only negative feedback is that the room I had once water ran through the drain you’ll get the dirty water smell even after maintenance tried to correct it the smell continued.”

“It was a nice place. The room was clean and comfortable. But the breakfast was very limited. And they said I would have my deposit back at the time of check out and it still isn’t back in my account. But other than that a great place.”

“Very nice place. Enjoyed the indoor pool. Becky at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The morning girl was only interested in her phone. She never spoke or looked up when we came or left. When we checked out, she was nice.Breakfast was the exact same every morning but it was good.Great area, food and shops close by. We felt safe.Luke Airforce Base was nearby and we heard the jets regularly. Next time we stay we're going to ask to be on the other side so we could see them.As for complaints, only 3. Our beds are too tall. We had a difficult time getting into them. I'm short and use to climbing but these were taller. The second was, my towel had a blood stain on it. The 3rd... they don't have any handicap rooms with 2 beds.”

“Best Western is a nice standard of hotels. Although we did not stay here this time, we have stayed here before. We like the rooms, but they might be 5 star worthy. They are still really nice and always clean! The staff is really nice and very helpful. We appreciate they stay at this Best Western!”
