“A few years ago I gave this store one star. I reported it to the District Manager, and included photos. I recommended you shop anywhere but the Greers Ferry Dollar General.Today I changed my review. This store is in a new building, built next door. There is a new store manager; I'm told the previous store manager still works there but is no longer the manager.I gave it another chance, and I'm glad. It's expanded, the selection is better, but, the problems I found have been corrected or are on their way to being corrected. The aisles aren't being completely blocked with unpacked boxes, just sitting in the aisles; employees are actively stocking the shelves. There are ample carts for customers. Things are much better. It's a much better atmosphere. I'm glad I went back, and I'll return. I talked to an employee and told her about my previous review. She said I wasn't the only one who had been unhappy and to please "Give us another chance". I certainly will! I hope others will, too!”
“When I was staying near Greer Ferry Lake, I stumbled upon the delightful Ozark Country Market. This charming market is a treasure trove of locally made preserves, freshly roasted coffee samples, and delicious baked bread. I was pleasantly surprised to find seeds for various vegetables, lovely hand-stitched dish rags, cast iron handle covers, hand-carved wooden spoons, and an assortment of dried tea leaves available for purchase. To top it off, there's a cozy local coffee shop inside where a friendly dog keeps its owner company.”
“The courtesy employees are always ready to assist the shoppers. The fried chicken at the deli is really good. I like the convenience of a grocery store over a garden center / clothing / automotive / hardware / grocery / sporting goods store. I like not having to search for 30 minutes to find a stick of butter.”
“Good customer service/cashiers. Always welcoming. Selection and variety of goods is pretty good, but prices are relatively high as they are the only big grocery store in the area.”
“Fun discount store to visit weekly because offerings change so it's a little adventure to see what might be new. Prices are super cheap. Outstanding place to buy snacks and candy...have you noticed how expensive candy bars have gotten everywhere else!? Also, has cheap summer type shoes, flip flops, hats, etc. Very friendly staff. They do accept credit/debit cards.”
“It's a convenient place and the only place within ten miles of us. Prices are bit high but employees are super nice and friendly. I'm grateful to have this place close to us.”
“Great little location for a Dollar General. Keeps lake-goers fun having to drive all the way into town for necessities. Staff is friendly, and the parking lot is adequate for even those towing trailers”
“Friendly staff that are very helpful. Dollar General is the go to store for all your last minute grocery needs as well as cards and gifts year round. They offer special seasonal items including home decor and gardening supplies. They are like a miniature neighborhood grocery store. While small, this store reflects the standards you expect to see in all Dollar General stores.”
“The Dollar general is a nice place to have close by. Especially if you don't want to go to one of the bigger stores for something. Their staff is always friendly and even if they're short-handed they're willing to stop and help you.”

“Employees were amazing! Great service and got some amazing deals! Store is a little small for all the floor displays which makes it extremely difficult to walk through the store but all in all a great experience here in Fairfield Bay.”
“Just recently moved here, and the owner John is very friendly, greets and even helps you pack groceries into your car, when possible. Pizza is also made here daily with pick up. Small, not too much of variety when it comes to vegetables, especially meat, yet doable for emergencies and day to day, needs. Beats driving 30 minutes to Heber Springs, if you just need a couple things.”
