“I can only speak towards the model kit side of the shop, but I love it. Tons of kits, both old and new. Model tools and paints selection is good and the owner seems like a wonderful guy. You can even trade in your kits. Prices of kits are sorta high but unfortunately that's the way it is these days.

They are a great local spot, while a little out of the ways for me it's a good location in the area. Definitely recommend supporting this base store and helping and helping them grow. “Prices are good.Shipping is fast.However, I highly suggest not preordering here if you want the model kit asap and you weren't able to preorder within the first 20-30 slots.Gundam Hobby states it but I didn't fully grasp what it means, lol. While each story have an allotment of inventory from the distributors, they might not always get them all at once. Even if it's within the "first shipment", they still might not due to whatever reasons.And as far as I can see, for Gundam Hobby, when a product is out, they don't sell them outside of their preorder list. So, it's not like they held a few to be sold in store/online on release. On the other hand, some other stores do split their allotment, some for preorders and some reserved for on release. And then some just don't put it up for preorders, so it's up for grabs when it's released.In short, if you can't find a preorder of the product you want anywhere, do not buy it here as part of their giant wait list. You'll find it when the product is released elsewhere.Edit: Thanks for the reply and yes, I understand. I don't know how the fine details between Bandai and stock allocation works. Service is great. I'm just telling others if they do want something urgently, it might be better to look elsewhere. If they don't, prices here are better (usually).”

“This letter of appreciation is being written with great pleasure to Peter of R.P.G. Vintage Toys. I would like to tell you about a wonderful experience that I had today. As a former city bus, motorcoach and double decker bus driver, I have recently acquired a passion for collecting buses of various sizes. I have been to various places that sell toys, collectors and hobby shops, but I must tell you of one that stood out above all of the aforementioned. Not only did I find a wide selection of very interesting and high quality things to look at, I found a great resource in Peter the owner. From our discussion I learned that his shop has been around for 15 years. His store is conveniently located in downtown Langley, with free and accessible parking right out front as well.
Since I am brand new to the collecting hobby, I had a lot of questions to ask. Peter was honest and kindly spent an hour talking to me about the nuances of serious diecast collector market, eg: where to stay away from, what to look for, and where to find resources to do research, among many other topics. His 38 years of collecting experience was evident by his insightful and helpful knowledge of this growing and lucrative market. He patiently answered all my questions to satisfaction, and he brought up things that I never would have thought of.
His store is neat tidy and full of amazing treasures that may be hard or almost impossible to find locally. The store caters to the serious adult collector, but welcomes the novice collector as well.
Just to see the enormous collection of cars that I played with as a kid brought back very fond memories for me. I could tell by his friendly attitude, that this was more than just a business, it is his love and sincere passion. It was very nice to talk with a professional who took the time to help a burgeoning collector such as myself. I wrote this unbiased and unsolicited review because I like to give credit where credit is due, especially to our local community business owners. Thank you Peter, I will be back to hunt for more treasures real soon.

“The clerk was amazing and looked for coupons for me!! However upon leaving with my glass I was told I could get paper at self check out to wrap glass. I knew where it was and when I went to get the paper the person over seeing self checkout told me I was not allowed. BIG FAIL! Seriously I want to ensure my glass gets home safely.”
