“Would like to strongly recommend Kintec in Maple Ridge for anyone in need of footwear and training needs. I had to purchase orthotics and a Knee brace ( for arthritis in my Knee ) and the attention to detail, being informative and explaining everything was amazing. “Exceptionally helpful staff, huge selection, great prices.But regarding the footwear itself, Skechers (model SN220078WW) - FAIL.Be warned, cleanability and durability are issues with these very comfortable walking shoes. Despite costing similar to leather shoes, they are perhaps poorer value.1. Washableness: an exagerration. Instead of machine washing, I soaked mine in gentle detergent for a couple of hours, then dried them on my balcony. Not only do they take longer to dry without removable insoles, also they came apart in several places. So, I had to get them stitched by a cobbler, which ruins the shape when done according to my specifications. Normal cobblers will not touch sneakers. Leather is more adaptable and customisable so I failed to get service at a high end cobbler in Mumbai and had to hire a street craftsman (Jaya Ravidas!) Just as well about the insoles though. I prefer the ones from Decathlon.2. Durability: my toe has a mind if it's own and without taking them to a cobbler, after 18 months they would have poked through as two holes. Lining is thin. Fortunately, I am in Mumbai, so a street cobbler was able to add an internal piece (which reduces breathability though). Additionally, the pieces on the upper sides came off resulting in risk to the foam coming out, so I had to get that repaired too.In brief, Skechers (and perhaps all vegan shoes) are disposable, nothing heirloom about them. That would be OK if they were cheap, but they are not.I travelled with these in India. Next time, skin from dead cows, buffalo, etc”

I popped in here just to browse after walking past while running errands in the area and was very pleasantly surprised at the selection of well-made and stylish options of shoes for both men and ladies. Many brands I'd never come across before. I left the store the proud owner of a stylish new pair of beautifully crafted "Rieker" ankle boots, which I'm sure to get many years enjoyment out of. Thoroughly pleased with my purchase, as well as the helpful in-store service . Will definitely be back to browse again soon. Was also told by the salesclerk that they have a location in Fort Langley as well.”
“This comment is directed at one of your shoppers in the review section who assumed the lack of customer service at the check out had something to do with her skin colour. If you had read all of the reviews you would have noted that most shoppers complained about the customer service and did not mention their skin colour. I also read some other reviews of yours at various locations where this seems to be a theme of yours. Not only do you assume people are singling you out for your skin colour but you yourself make racial slurs constantly about people with white skin. I also noted you called a person you were complaining about a "ginger.". Are you aware that many redheaded people do not appreciate the term? You need to stop spreading your racism in this country by singling out white people or "gingers" as you put it with assumptions that they are singling you out. This is how racism and hatred begins and Canadians do not need this. Grow up.”

“Went to Aldo at Guildford Mall on Saturday May 18, 2024 at 5:30pm. You can imagine the weekend crowd and the store was packed. I was (and still am) so impressed with the sales people on the floor: they were genuinely friendly and were so efficient with their stock scanners and getting the shoes out to us customers. The showroom and displays were neat and tidy. I want the sales team that day to know how amazing they were while handling such a huge crowd. They deserve a nice bonus for their performance!”
