PriceSmart Foods in Richmond is a hidden gem for Asian groceries and cuisine. It offers a great selection and variety of stock, including a great range of Asian meats, vegetables, seafood, and specialty ingredients. The dim sum is fantastic and authentic, and the hot Asian dishes are impressive. The bakery is a delightful surprise. The store combines Western and Asian groceries, so you can find most things you need. This branch is not too busy, making it comfortable to shop in. A downside is that items are often pricey or overpriced, and the quality of produce is not really that good. However, the service is consistently friendly, helpful, and efficient, with staff being amazing, friendly, and funny. The store also has a helpful price-matching policy and accepts AMEX.
It was disappointing that there wasn't lemon in a net this morning, and the vegetables are more expensive than those at T&T. Also, the older staff tend to be curt and unfriendly.
