“Darumaya Japanese Grocery Store is a gem for all Japanese food enthusiasts. The store offers a wide variety of authentic Japanese products, from fresh produce to pantry staples. One of the highlights is their special discount for sashimi don, a delightful dish of fresh sashimi served over a bed of rice. The quality of the sashimi is exceptional, with each piece being incredibly fresh and flavorful. The store is clean and well-organized, making it easy to find what you need. “Good selection of items from across the world. Their prices seem fair and the lady was helpful with the questions we had. I would recommend Exotic International Market to people for certain Indian and Mexican items that you can't find easily elsewhere. Ample parking is available right outside or near the store.”

“What a wonderful interesting little store. It's fully vegetarian and probably 99% vegan from glancing around. A variety of products predominately from Taiwan but a few others mixed in as well. Great quality plus the handful of processed/artificial often found in Asian ingredients. The products that called me out were the Taiwanese 'vegan floss'; I got 2 types with truly unique ingredient combos. It's a great shredded texture for mixing in food like rice bowls or soups (and as toppings). The store is pretty plain and simple but not bad. The lady working was super friendly with historical things and chit chat. I think only a few types of these stores exist on the entire west coast. As such, a few of them might wholesale to other cafes/restaurants. It'll be interesting to see their future retail/wholesale plans; I'd love to see more cafes/restaurants source these stores for local supplier support of vegetarian/vegan options (for any combination of entrees and/or toppings). For something super neat and a bit offbeat, check it out!”

“Small Japanese convenience store with good hours (10am-8pm). There is a wide array of hard-to-find Japanese snacks and a mini bakery section. Most of them are on the expensive side, but they do offer discounts on some products. Looking forward to what this shop has to offer in the future!”

“Very similar to save on foods in UBC. Also a great place to get freshly baked goods I the morning. A really important thing I like about this save on foods is that it is one of the stores that also sells sides like soup and samosas, and sometimes even some main dishes.”

“Excellent Neighborhood Grocery store, I absolutely love the size, not so big that it takes forever to shop, not so small that they don't have selection. The majority of the staff are excellent. This is my regular grocery store”

“This is my local produce market and I find the staff to be perfectly fine. A smile and a thank you goes a long way. The prices and freshness of many, but not all the products are superior to those at Safeway. I am selective in what I buy here, but often leave with a bag of produce that costs substantially less than at Safeway.”

“Great Coffee . A Grande latte with two extra shots is ten bucks after a tip .. unbelievably I used to go here every day . No wonder I'm not a millionaire now , lol . I didn't mean to say that the service was a three . I hit it accidentally and couldn't get it back . The service was great . However I'm still lamenting the ten bucks .”

“This was one of the best grocery stores to shop at. The store had a nice comfortable atmosphere and the prices were reasonable. I loved the deli section where I could get some delicious home made soups and sandwiches for a quick but healthy and tasty meal. Either take home for dinner or even to take to work for lunch. However, the store will be closing its doors for good sometime in the next month or two. Already the shelves are nearly bare, there's only a few essentials left. I'm really going to miss shopping there.”

“A fine place for Indian grocery. Some of their products are 'priceless'; they could improve on their price labeling as well as become more competitive versus larger chain stores that have started carrying similar product ranges”

“Has some of the best hot pot meat, from beef, to chicken, and pork out there, the taste is worth it. The produce there is much sweeter and higher in quality than some other places as well!”

“I love China World, they do wholesale and retail at the same time, the price is for wholesale price. You can find lots of Asian mainly Chinese products here. The produce is fresh and cheap, the meat and seafood are fresh as well. Rice and oil are very cheap compared to other grocery stores. They also have a big parking lot for parking your car. Everything they have there I love, just hope my wallet is bigger and fuller?.”
