“Love Mary's, have been coming here for years and years. Nice produce... especially Mary's Own "no spray" fruit and veggies! Thankfully they are now open year round. I miss all of the familiar faces who used to own and work there, however the new owners seem to be keeping up with the lovely old feel, as well as add some of their own positive twists like closing in the front area, extending non perishables and adding a few more specialty items both on the shelf and in the fridge.”

“I come to this store when Walmart doesn't have the vegetables I need. They always have the items I need at reasonable prices. The only downside is that the store is located deep inside the mall, so you will have to walk a bit further to get there.”

“Buy the best bread in Canada here (but please leave one for me!) Lac La Hache bakery makes traditional European style bread from good flour and simple, great ingredients, and Chan's sell it! Seek it out folks and thank me later...”

“My favorite local green grocer. Always have excellent produce, good prices and fresh fruit. Large assortment of European and Asian treats, spices, sauces and condiments makes it easy to make an international meal with one easy stop. Friendly staff are awesome too. Tried a 1L raspberry elderberry syrup made in Europe without artificial flavours and colours for $8.”

“Awsome little 1 stop shop for very fresh veggies & produce. Many staples, indian or otherwise. They have some beautiful oils reg to high heat mustard oil. This has a nice mild flavour, at the same time I use it for super high heat cooking without the burnt smoking oils some use. It is great for tempering/curing all of my cast iron pots & pans. The staff are always watching for unscrupulous character who like to lift things without pay. I utilize this staff member to assist with flavour questions, uses for certain products & uses for including how to prepare. Plus I get to tinker with new tools & flavours for various foods. Being able to ask ethnic questions helps me become a better cook with a bigger arsenal for cooking, techniques, & flavour profiles. This is 1 of 2 stores I go to, both under the Fruitcana name. My other store I purchase for example 100 lb sacks of onions, i uses these to pickle with. Either pickled on their own or with pickles/beets etc..Keep up the good work making unsure customers like myself feel comfortable without being mocked.Hence 5 star☆☆☆☆☆ reviewThumbs up to all that work in either locations.”

“One of the best fruiticana outlets we've been to. Plenty of choices, fresh vegetables and other groceries one might need. Especially for indians this place is a one place get all. You can buy pulses etc in loose/packets. There is even a panicpuri store outside!”

“Fruiticana is a mixed bag. The veggies are lower priced than any other store, but one has to pick them out and check for bruising. I like to shop there since we eat fresh and do not store our veggies for more than 2-3 days. Indian products and spices are easily available - boon for the Indian diaspora.”
