“The staff is very nice and helpful, and even though the bookstore is relatively small, they cover a variety of genres. I bought a lot of books from here, especially by Canadian authors, and the lady at the cash gave me a lot of nicely designed bookmarks!”

“I had never shopped at Russell Books before but I just placed my first online order for a secondhand book. I had a question about the book before purchasing and they replied to my email promptly.I ordered the book and it arrived very quickly, well packaged, and in even better condition than I imagined! I am very happy with my purchase and I look forward to shopping in person the next time I am in Victoria!”

“Cute book store with friendly shop dog. Good selection. Was surprised and excited that my husband found an Irish history book he's going to read before gifting to his friend for Christmas. :)”

“It's a great store in an oversized urban mall, and yet you feel like you're in a small bookstore. I buy here often. Recently I bought a book for someone, but they already had a copy. Of course, I had no receipt. I called the store, and the nice person who answered assured me I could get the value as an in store credit without a receipt. Yaay! Now that's a rare thing. Go have a look. You'll go back!”

“The hours aren't super convenient and I'd like to have a tone during the weekend that would be open, but the prices are fair and there's a good amount of different supplies for most needs. I enjoy shopping there especially for needs when I'm already on campus”

“I have been looking around for Harvey Comics (like Ritchie Ritch, Wendy the Good Witch), as I think my 6 year old will enjoy them. After having been snubbed by a couple other comic shops since they apparently aren't "real comics," I was really happy that the owner of this store not only had a bunch, but received me warmly and thanked me for coming in. Excellent experience. Thank you!”

“Wonderful cute second hand bookstore that I always go to whenever I’m in Langford! Lots of selection, books are pretty much like knew and priced correctly. Cute little kid’s section that I always get something from for my niece. Prefect neighbourhood gem!”

“The term, “Small, yet mighty,” springs to mind when speaking of Ivy’s Book Shop in the heart of the Oak Bay Village, in Victoria. The familiar half-door (Dutch Door) at the entrance on Oak Bay Avenue has always been a symbolic invitation, in my mind, to wander inside Ivy’s and look around. With the main desk near the entrance, surrounded by postcards, prints, magazines, and the like, there is always a friendly face to assist you, if needed. There are many books pertaining to the west coast, to Victoria, and, of course, fiction, non-fiction, and children’s titles. You’ll see gifts, journals, prints, and you can’t possibly miss the lovely line of canvas bags, each with different designs hanging overhead. It’s very difficult to choose just one!The children’s nook at the rear of the store is small, but inviting and, while we popped in again today, there were children there browsing the titles and looking overhead at the ‘creatures’ hanging from the ceiling. This is the sort of bookstore that every neighbourhood should have, that every child and adult shall remember. It is not Amazon, it is not Indigo, it is a small business that has been in the community for many years. It is the sort of bookshop that older adults will remember fondly from years gone by.And like most bookshops triple its size, make sure you have plenty of time to look at all of the wonderful books on display. You won’t be disappointed!”

“It's always fun to find a local used bookstore that is still taking books - just don't show up with too many or you may end up taking most home as there is often a backlog to process them ?”

“Bought two used paperbacks after browsing in this cozy and pleasantly cluttered used bookstore . Lots of subjects of fiction and non fiction. And about half the price of new.Owner very friendly and shared neighborhood tips for eating and visiting as well.”

“Staff are amazing and the books are priced below other big stores. Plus they offer books from smaller creators and on subjects you wouldn't find elsewhere. Glad they are around and look forward to visiting again!”

“It is nice to find an actual bookstore these days. This location is inside the mall which isn’t totally clear on the map. There was a good selection and some good sales. It’s not a very large store.”

“Looks like the bookstore isn't dead. Huge lineup at the cash out lane. Indigo is certainly an interesting experience. From high quality greeting cards to board games, toys and wrapping paper. Their extensive magazine rack has to be the best in the city.”

“If you still like the feel and smell of an actual book instead of a Kindle, this is the site for you. The prices are amazingly cheap. Great communication via email and prompt free delivery. There is no other online used bookseller this easy. I adore competence; they have it.”
