“I managed this little hole in the wall for 5 years, and I can tell you that it has absolutely everything. It's hours are Not the latest, but if you get there before nine pm you're usually good to go ( Unless they have a newbie on that closes five minute early or something)it's always switching up It's selection of product., and most of the time the staff are friendly and helpful. It is definitely convenient because there's nothing else in the area.”
“(How have I not been asked to review this store before now?!?!?!)I LOVE Mega-Mart! As a local family-owned business, this shop is a FANTASTIC place to support. I've been a resident of Burnside-Gorge for almost 10 years now (surviving one relocation), and have been a Mega-Mart customer for just as long--watching their children grow up working the cash register over the years.Unlike several other retailers in the area--who have allowed recent challenges in our neighbourhood to affect their treatment of regular, loyal customers for the worse--this business continues to maintain friendly, accessible service, without making unreasonable demands (or allowing poor treatment) of the people who simply wish to continue shopping there in peace, in spite of all the dangerous and frightening events that have managed to attach themselves to our collective experiences. This family has been so gracious to me, personally (just a random customer, nothing distinguishing or special about me), I have noticed over the years how much care they placed on paying attention to certain things I like (some hard to find elsewhere), always making sure to have them available for me, even checking on whether I'm satisfied with the options, or if I might prefer something a little different. In fact, there are even a few items they brought into regular stock SPECIFICALLY at my request, and, as I remain the only customer who buys them (and they are not exceptionally profitable items), it just demonstrates how much they value the happiness of each individual customer (though lack of immediate competition could allow them to be significantly more indifferent, if they wanted).Also, I find their pricing on the types of things that are NOTORIOUSLY expensive at convenience stores (like OTC medicine, instant coffee, and general merchandise) to be VERY fair--sometimes, even, a real bargain--as it's obvious they simply price based on what it costs them, and not how desperate you're likely to be (or how much pain you might be in) when you need something (another example of their ethical business practice, treating customers as fellow human beings, and not just an income-source ripe for the exploitation).I know this has been a long review, but, after nearly a decade of consistently receiving GREAT treatment from this store, it is both well-deserved and long overdue! If you live/work in the area, I encourage you to patronize them as much as you can for your regular supplies; I doubt you'll be able to COMPLETELY replace your larger-scale, national-chain shopping, but for the items that make sense, you'll increase your own convenience of access, while helping to keep fueling an ethical family business our community is SO lucky to have!”
“Family run convenience store. Has all the essential items starting from bread and spices to tools and basic hardware. Since it's more of a family run small business, do not expect it to have a lot of variety. Also, you cannot compare the prices with the prices at Walmart or Superstore. The staff are friendly, there was an old lady at the counter who had a smile on her face the whole time.”

“I'm giving 5 stars based on the employee named Rizo. I moved to this area in March of 2024 and he learned what I liked to buy right away. He is ALWAYS kind, smart, quick and courteous with every customer I see him interact with.
He knows how to handle people with dignity and respect which I can't say about everyone who works there. I always breath a sigh of relief when I arrive and it's him working. I hope he gets recognized for his superior customer service skills.

“This store is one of the very few independent convenience stores left in Esquimalt. The owner has always been very nice to me and my kids. The parking lot is small so don’t park there if you are planning to go to the shitty French fry (the worst fries I have ever tried) place next door.”

About the pizza deliver to me:very hard crust and it seems the pizza went in the oven like 3 times...but the good side to it the pizza it's that they use a good amount of sauce;,,i like my pizza with more sauce so they did it right.

“I had an issue with a product, that product had a 1800# for customer service so I called them was told 2-3days but in rare cases may take up 30 days. Some 60+ days later of them stalling and running me around I went into 7eleven. I spoke with the manager and wow what a great experience that was. She was outstanding, clear communication, explained the store side of things and she looked into the matter, about a week later it's now resolved.
From the worst customer service experience I have had dealing with Incomm, to one of the best with 7eleven Hillside.
