He was friendly, welcoming, and showed an abundance of patience as he answered all the questions I had, seamlessly navigating me through the process. I felt like I was chatting with my long time friend who genuinely cared and listened to my storage needs. After walking me through a few options, it was an easy decision for me as the 10x10 locker was the best deal I came across with the promotion Salmin offered. “We first rented a storage locker at U-Lok in 2005. We just moved out end of 2024 due to moving across the country (otherwise we'd still be there).
We went through 3 different lockers and sizes over time. They were great during these adjustments, as we moved our items from one locker to another.
They permitted us to install some commercial duty shelving and run power for lights etc. into the locker. wow.
I cannot say enough about their customer service. And in all those years I never saw or heard of any incidents. The best!”

“The staff are very nice and polite!! The prices are expensive and there's only 1 dim motion sensored light bulb in a large unit and no power outlets anywhere on property to use, so good luck if your phone dies, and if you're in your unit at the back and the light goes out, you're left in the dark!! Also you're left to the elements so if it's cold or raining or dark out, you don't wanna be there cause your unit is basically the same temp as the outside, with no way to plug in a light or a heater!! A neighbor of mine had mold all over his stored clothing and purses, but this is also cause they weren't properly stored just loose, I didn't have that problem cause everything was properly stored!!”

“It's a few minutes walk from Main Street on Terminal Ave in Vancouver BC. Public storage offers a variety of self storage needs including storage space and storage supplies. Boxes, dollies, rental of moving vehicle.
This location is in a central spot in relation to Vancouver and I believe has a standing offer to new customers that if you rent 3 months you only pay for 2 getting one for free or sometimes a dollar is charged for the third month.
Staffed building kept clean and well maintained with lots of space for monuverabilty. Easy to use equipment and lockers. in a very secured building.
Doesn't offer 24 hour access to storage lockers. washroom and parking available”

“Our Scout Group had a good experience with Advanced Storage however it was too expensive for our limited funds so we had to find a less expensive alternative for storing our equipment.”
“We used Kavco for short-term storage of our art, antiques, china & crystal, and out-of-season items when we first moved to Vancouver. The locker was great, as it came with built-in shelving for all our "stuff." I had no qualms about storing these high-value items, as the facility felt very secure. Be forewarned that there isn't an elevator, so you'll need a first floor locker for that upright piano. Also, the facility is closed Sunday and open only until 2:00 PM on Saturday. If we still lived in North Vancouver, I'd still be using Kavco.”
“The prices are reasonable and the facility is well-kept with appropriate pest control measures in place. A very no-frills, wood-compartment storage facility. Shelving needs to be done on your own and nothing can be fastened to the walls. Hours are limited regular daytime business-type hours, including on weekends. Without after-hours access without staff on site, this probably helps with security and keeps from having people physically occupying their lockers. CCTV cameras seem adequately sufficient to cover the space, and hopefully are also there to prevent inter-locker theft as some of the units have open tops.
Everyone I interacted with leading up to signing a rental agreement and the week or two following were really nice. Except one time I arrived at 4:52 (closing time is 5:00) on April 7, 2024, I came to run enough items I could carry in my hands to my locker to drop and go. I was out of there by 4:55. The moment I exited my car the staff member on strength at the time ran out of the sliding doors and said in a rather manic tone, “you better make it quick, I’m closing up in 5 minutes. I want to see you run, alright?”. If I was on a military course or being spoken to by my toxic father, I’d find this acceptable and par for the course. But I’m a customer; regardless of what negative experiences you may have previously had, the projection isn’t really appreciated. You could have simply denied me entry and I would have been fine with that, or otherwise reflect on what other communication styles might achieve the same desired outcomes without being condescending or making me feel like I’m being an inconvenience. I said “have a pleasant Sunday” on my way out and this was received and responded to positively. I just find it ironic that the customer is the one that has to employ his toolkit of tact and be nimble with de-escalation strategies, and not the other way around.

“Storage Mart on East Kent Ave, Vancouver, is great. I ordered a second locker online and phoned them to follow up, and the assistant offered me a similar locker to the one I already own, right next to it - a difference of 8 floors! She was super friendly and efficient in making the necessary arrangements. I have been with them for many years and can recommend. E.g. if you can't make a payment on time, feel free to negotiate with them. They are very understanding and professional.”

“Key Self Storage is THE BEST self storage in the lower mainland hands down. Great facility, great staff and CRAZY cheap prices. It really doesn’t get any better than this.
The facility is modern and clean with a roll up gate big enough to park a moving truck INSIDE the building! Perfect for the rainy city. Tons of space to move with the biggest elevators I’ve ever seen in my life which made loading the storage locker really quick. My locker even has a view of the mountains!! It’s honestly outstanding, I’ve truly never seen a storage facility with this much thought and care put into the customer experience. 10/10 the facility is perfect.
The staff are on another level when it comes to customer service. So kind and helpful. They’ve greeted me with a warm welcome anytime I’ve gone in there and have always been happy to help anytime I needed something. Beyond just professional courtesy, it’s clear they genuinely care about people. 11/10 great people and top notch service.
Best part, they’re also some of the cheapest lockers in the city. All across the board, best self storage in town.”
