“I only come here for the craft beer selection and they never let me down. They have crappy hours but are always punctual. Love that you can get singles of everything and they always have a decent selection of DIPA and TIPA. Street parking only BUT that end of Santa Clara is never that congested. I always get some Indian food next door and that makes me happy.”

“Great market if you want to get everyday stuff. Small store but packed with everything you need from laundry to food to small toys. The cashier was great and friendly. Not too busy either.”

“I love it here! The food is fabulous. As you can see from my photos, I have been here more than a few occasions to eat chicken and waffles in different ways! Breakfast, snack and dinner versions! I also love the white flights, the karaoke was a hit! And outstanding service by Kyle and Ryan! I feel like this is a little home away from home”

“So good and so friendly! Sailed into Ballena Bay and wandered over to the Harbor Mart and so glad I did! Lany was welcoming, friendly and a great cook! Bought a chicken banh mi and spring rolls for our sail back and they were fantastic! A great little store loved by everyone I met in the harbor. Worth stop if visiting Alameda!!”

“Wanted to pick up some kasoori methi (dried fenugreek leaves) for a recipe, which brought me in. Staff is friendly and helpful. I bought a couple (mix veg) Samosa on a whim for a snack when I got home and these are the BEST samosa I’ve ever eaten in my life. I really want to come back for lunch/dinner at some point, absolutely delicious food.”

“Every time I've gone in here the clerk is friendly and they have all the things you'd expect a corner convenience store to stock. You'll pay a slight premium over going to a grocery store, but that is normal for corner stores.”

“One of the Bay Area's best cigar shops! The owner is friendly and beyond helpful! She has a great selection of cigars, lighters, and ashtrays. My personal favorite is the Bonne Vie branded travel cigar ashtray!”

“Conveniently located inside of the marketplace, you can pick up groceries and meats just around the corner and then stop by here. Plenty of parking options. I stopped by to look at some cheeses last night when I noticed some snacks on a table. Dane let me know that they were hosting a wine tasting -- and it was $10 for 5 pours and some food pairings. It was a few minutes before they were closing, but they were very accommodating. Turns out it was Dane's first wine tasting that he planned -- and he did a very good job. Since it's the weekend of Super Bowl, he had snacks that are typically had during the game and it was unexpected and delicious. He was very knowledgeable and I ended up getting one of the wines, some Marcona almonds, Calvestrano olives and a mustard seed Gouda. I'll be back here for the tastings for sure-- it was fun and affordable.”

“I'm so happy we finally have indian food nearby. I like to pop in after work and get their combos for dinner. My family loves it. They do have a lot of chicken chunks in their chicken Tika and curries which we appreciate. The samosas are good as well. I've tried some of the frozen food offerings and were satisfied with those. What a great addition to this side of alameda. Will make this our goto place.”

“Clean, well-stocked convenience store with a huge selection of alcoholic beverages from high-end to super cheap and a wine section that must take hours to inventory. Also stocked with a wide variety of snacks and home essentials, their milk is extra cold and always fresh. Friendly, helpful staff get to know you and will chat when the place isn't busy. Clean, maneuverable parking lot including a wheelchair accessible parking space. The only downside is that they close a bit early for a liquor store - 10 pm at the latest. It's definitely a spot to check out!”

“I've been living in Alameda for over 20 years and was pleasantly surprised to find this store at the start of COVID stay at home order. Prices are comparable to other convenient stores in the area. They also sell lottery tickets.”

“Incredibly sweet woman behind the counter every time I visit this store. Always makes me feel welcomed and she's always incredibly kind. I definitely enjoy coming here. Only critique is not every liquor or alcoholic beverage is priced, but if you really want it i don't see why that matters. You can always just ask”

“It's a fantastic venue. Convenient, polite, inviting staff, great management, and wonderful house bands. I would love to program a night of sophisticated nostalgic jazz & blues music for an appreciative mature crowd.Parking: After business hours, free garage parking.”

“I always stop by for some soda. They carry Mexican glass bottled sprite and coke which taste so much better than the American coke and that's why I like going here.”

“They have a great variety of products ... I love going here because I usually find everything I'm looking for, without the crowd ...Yes, because it's a mom/pop store, I pay a lil bit more but it's worth the convenience of great parking, no crowd ... and at the end of it all, I only paid $3 to $5 more then going to a big store ...”

“The store is well stocked, but pretty expensive for most items. I go here only for the items that I can't get at TJs or Grocery Outlet. That includes some specialty beer and good produce. Parking is never an issue, and self-checkout makes it fast if there are lines at the checkout.”

“"Santos Market & Liquor" has moved from their corner location (at Taylor & Webster), to this new spot next door to Orchid Pavillion Cafe and Canasta Kitchen. I like this new store. It's clean, bright, and modern. The old store was crowded and cluttered. I asked the clerk why they moved, and he said the other building was too old. This store has modern coolers stocked with beer and a variety of drinks. There's a wine wall, and hard liquor behind the counter. There's also candy, snacks, and ice cream. I didn't see any general grocery items like coffee, sugar, canned soups or bread. Maybe they'll stock it in the future. Park on the street, or use the West End Public Parking lot that's about 1/2- block away. Support Local Business!”

“I usually come in here when I'm at Lincoln Park across the street. This is a decent sized market, good selection of drinks and snacks. Obviously it's located on High Street not too far from the High Street Bridge, and the 'market' part has a decent selection also. Limited parking as High street is usually kind of busy depending on the time of day, nice option for the area!!”
