“Mark was a great guy to talk to and was able to help me out in a bind. We were camping in Julian and my truck through a code that worried me with about possible overheating. I called Mark up on a Sunday morning which just happen to also be a holiday and he answered and told me to send him what the code was. After he got it, he called me back right away and said he would pick up the part and call me when to come by. After an anticipated phone call he had me stop by and diagnosed the problem, which he thought was the thermostat of which 90% will show that code. Replacing the thermostat unfortunately didn't do it so he went out of his way to back and grab a temp sensor from the auto store and it worked perfectly. Everything went back online and I was good to go. Great guy and looks after you.”

“I find the reviews interesting on Yelp...hot and cold, but here is my experience with Dan yesterday, May 24, 2023.My fire sprinkler system inside my house had been sounding a very loud alarm for three weeks...every time I turned on the water and sporadically during the night and day as well.I finally figured out that it was due to a water pressure issue.I called eight different well repair companies on Tuesday, May 23 2023. Dan at East County Pump was the first to respond. He called me and I'll admit was a little "rough" on the phone. He said he could come out Wednesday morning to check out my well situation.He was here Wednesday as promised. Took a look at my well and said I needed a new pump as it was leaking and I also needed a new Pressure Tank.Yes, initially he was a bit rough around the edges with his people skills, and I thought a little unfriendly. But I felt like he knew what he was doing and was honest. I also discovered he has hearing loss. I am sympathetic to this since I also am hearing impaired. It's a difficult handicap, you don't "look" handicapped, but sometimes it's easier to almost ignore or pretend to hear rather than explain over and over that you can't hear someone...even after explaining, people rarely change the way they are talking to you.He said he'd be back between 3 and 4 yesterday to fix it.He showed up just like he said and he fixed everything. He was able to give me a little better price and everything is working wonderfully. He took the old parts so I didn't have to deal with getting rid of them.Once you start talking to him, he warms right up and we had a lovely time chatting with him all afternoon while he was working on the well. He is a Veteran and told us all about his time in Viet Nam.He fixed everything and it's all working wonderfully.My biggest and best surprise came this morning...when I got a phone call, and a friendly one at that, from Dan my well guy, checking on me making sure everything was working!So, in the end, I think he is honest and he knows what he is doing. I don't doubt he gave me the best price he could. He was quick and followed through with everything he promised.Look past the initial rough exterior, he really is a nice guy, just a little rough around the edges.Service: Pump repairs & installation”
